I only hope this is the beginning of a real fight for freedom…
I only hope that the masses have been educated enough to know what is “human right”
I only hope people are risking their lives for separation of church and state.
I only hope that Bakhtiar was alive and could see this and lead the nation
I only hope that no “democracy-loving” life is lost.
And finally I hope every foreign government stays out of this.

I absolutely agree
by absolutely (not verified) on Tue Jun 16, 2009 12:14 PM PDTwith both of your comments. This is NOT the time for any foreign country to involved itself. There are and will be many who believe that they never should, but I agree with Desi. It hurts to see those asking for help and feeling betrayed. Iranians will never agree on when or even if to accept foreign help or intervention. It is indeed, a damned if we do and damned if we don't situation. I can only hope and pray that it won't come to that.
POWER TO THE PEOPLE. POWER TO THE PEOPLE, RIGHT ON.
Dear Desi
by Bijan A M on Tue Jun 16, 2009 12:55 AM PDTI watched a clip of Obama's comments on the events in Iran and support his response 100%. I did not vote for Obama and do not support many of his policies (foreign or domestic) but in this particular instance he is navigating the waters very wisely.
I don't really know if this will become the spark that igntes the fire that will burn the rule of theocracy. I only hope it is. And, if turns out to be a real uprising for a secular and democratic Iran, I hope US and other freedom loving nations come to support of our freedom fighters and stop their mass murder by the hands of IRI.
Best regards.
I agree! And I know that
by desi on Mon Jun 15, 2009 07:37 PM PDTI agree! And I know that you are not an Obama supporter but he has been silent for good reason. He's treading very carefully as to what the outcome may be, and what regime he may or may not have to deal with. Bijan I have to say republicans are very vocal about how Obama is silent about this and how he should rebuke and vehemently condemn this election. I for one think that the American government is in a damned if you do damned if you don't state. Over the last few decades interference have put them in serious hot water and yet Obama's silence seems to be riling the GOP. It is however sad when you see protestors pleas for the Obama administration to back them. If Obama supports the "Green Revolution" he'll have absolutely no stance in dealing with the Ahmedinejad regime in the next 4 years and you know this recount wont dethrone him.
