Happy birthday, dearest JJ.
I know the collage looks like a scene from the film "Being John Malcovitch" :-)
//tf.org/images/covers/BeingJohnMalkovich.jpg
But the idea was to show you at different stages of your life, always as the superman JJ that you are :-).
I thought it would be a good idea if your daughter Mahdiyeh represented all the readers and contributors by bringing a chocolate cake, a lit candle and our best well-wishing.
I’d also like to thank you for providing this free forum, IranicnDotCom, for all of us where we can feel at home - we orphaned people separated by circumstances from our Mother Iran, our Mum-e Mihan.
May you have many more years of happiness, good health and adventures ahead of you. And here is Sir Paul McCarthney singing his birthday song just for you :)
Cheers, Azadeh

Read my comment again, JJ
by Azadeh Azad on Sun Mar 01, 2009 11:11 PM PSTJJ Jaan, are you still napping? :-)) I said "Not everything can be explained scientifically." That implies that Astrology is NOT a science!
Cheers,

Scientific?
by Jahanshah Javid on Sun Mar 01, 2009 10:28 PM PSTAzadeh, as much as I enjoy astrology, I don't believe it's a science in the strict sense of the word and do not take it seriously. But fun and interesting it certainly is.
You're welcome, JJ
by Azadeh Azad on Sun Mar 01, 2009 09:54 PM PSTAnd yes, some of this astrological description seems to fit your personality as I perceive it from afar. I used to ask my patients about their time of birth and found out that about 80% of times, their personalities corresponded to their signs. Not everything can be explained scientifically. There is *a lot* about the universe and existence that we don't know or can't explain rationally.
Cheers,
Azadeh
Not much left to say
by Jahanshah Javid on Sun Mar 01, 2009 09:06 PM PSTAzadeh Jan,
Thanks for the very detailed astrological analysis. I enjoy astrology for fun, but I won't go as far as saying I believe it or live by it. Still, I felt most of what you posted did seem to fit my nutty personality ;o)
I enjoyed it. Thank you aziz!

You and the stars, JJ
by Azadeh Azad on Sun Mar 01, 2009 02:24 PM PST"It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves." - William Shakespeare
However :-), according to two astrological websites - Astrology.com and cafeastrology.com -, you have Pisces Sun, Gemini Ascendant, and Capricorn Moon, and here is what that means:
*) How he approaches life and how he appears to others
He is always questioning and learning, and he seems young
*) The Inner JJ: His real motivationand alive no matter what his chronological age, for his mind is
always alert, curious, flexible and open to new experiences. He
has a childlike enthusiasm for anything new and he learns
easily, but he also gets bored rather quickly. He can be
something of a scatterbrain, for he tends to have so many ideas
and irons in the fire that it is hard to keep track of them all.
He needs and craves variety, change, mental stimulation, and an
active social life.
At heart he is very gentle, impressionable, and receptive -
a dreamer. The world of his imagination, feelings, and intuition
is as real to him as anything in the outer world, though he may
have trouble verbalizing or interpreting his inner experiences
in a way others can understand. Mystical, artistic, musical,
emotional and imaginative, he has a rich inner life, though he
may seem rather unobtrusive and quiet outwardly. He usually keeps
to himself.
*) Ascendant Gemini or Gemini Rising:
Those born with Gemini rising see the world as a place to learn. They are curious about the people around them.
Friendly, bright, curious, quick, restless, and highly verbal, they are communicators. Their function is to be a MESSENGER, a link or bridge between people and between ideas, whether through teaching or speaking, selling or simply circulating socially. They make connections.
These are people who love to ask questions, to move around freely, and to mingle. Definitely restless and often quick in physical expression, natives of the Gemini Ascendant exude an air of impatience even if they don't mean it. In fact, there is a cleverness to Gemini Ascendants that can intimidate some, especially sensitive folk. Their facility with words can be a wonderful asset, although sometimes Gemini rising individuals identify too much with their mental agility and forget, in their personal interactions and communications, to nurture the people around them. A certain lack of warmth in presentation can be the result, and although this style is generally a facade, it is not immediately apparent to most. People with, for example, predominant Water signs may feel a little ill at ease with Gemini rising people (that is, before they get to know them more personally), while strong Air types more fully appreciate the fun and cleverness of these individuals.
They are often quite witty and clever, but they present themselves as unhappy and changeable. Their observations are sharp and the overall manner is a tad brusque. No matter the style, Gemini rising natives are given to analysis and making sense of their world. Their powers of observation are well-developed, they are mentally active (more often than not, their minds are racing!), and they almost always have something bright or witty to say. It is easy for individuals with this position to get sidetracked, as their curiosity is large, their minds are quick, and their attention spans rather short!
As children, natives born with a Gemini Ascendant are often labeled as the intellectual, inquisitive, and perhaps odd child. Many feel their upbringing lacked some warmth.
In one-to-one relationships, Gemini rising people often seek a certain amount of personal freedom and space. They enjoy intellectual debates and exchanging ideas. Although they often demand a fair amount of freedom, they are often just as willing to give their partners room to breathe.
*) Gemini Rising and Mercury in Aquarius
Your ruling planet Mercury is in the idealistic, humane and future-oriented sign of Aquarius. You are interested in sciences, progressive or utopian ideas, reforming society, advances in the fields of education or communication, and/or group process. Your ideas may be considered odd, extreme, radical, or ahead of their time - and that is what they are supposed to be. Introducing new or "revolutionary" concepts is a key part of your function.
*) Moon in Capricorn
Being useful and productive are basic needs for Lunar Capricorns. Because they generally keep their emotions under check, Moon in Capricorn people come across as competent people. However turbulent their emotions may be under the surface, Lunar Capricorns keep cool-headed—and they come across as steady and reliable people.
This position of the Moon suggests a desire for clear boundaries and realistic goals. Not much for taking risks in life, Lunar Capricorns look for safety and security in most everything they do. Most of them respect authority and tradition, and many are planning well ahead of the rest of us. You likely won't have to remind them to protect their interests, plan for old age, or keep fall-back money in their bank accounts. These things come naturally to them.
Calm, cool, and collected—these words sum up Moon in Capricorn natives well. Messy emotions and "leaky" souls are a bit frightening for most with this position of the Moon. Truth is, they can have plenty of mood swings and some dark emotions now and again. Lunar Capricorns are often quite hard on themselves, and would benefit from letting their guard down once in a while. They quickly garner reputations of being mountains of strength, and they easily hide their sensitivity behind a sarcastic manner.
You may have read that Moon in Capricorn natives are a bit cold and calculating. The fact is, they are unlikely to be any less emotional than the other 11 sign positions of the Moon—they simply aren't comfortable "letting go" when it comes to emotions. They keep their emotions under control. Wherever Capricorn is found in the chart, there is a desire for structure and control. Capricorn is the sign of organization and efficient management; so, when the Moon is found in the sign, the world of emotions are well-managed and handled in an efficient and practical manner.
At the heart of Lunar Capricorns is a powerful need to feel worthwhile in the real world. There's a basic need for respectability and a big attachment to the world of the senses. Lunar Capricorns put a lot of value in all things tangible and real. And, perhaps more than anything, they need to be respected by others in order to feel secure.
*) Love situation: Venus in Pisces
Venus in Pisces people project themselves as dreamy, soft-hearted partners. Everything about the way they flirt promises a lovely time. Theirs is an elusive charm -- they are sweetly playful, a little moody, and perhaps a little irregular. They appreciate romance and poetry, and they prefer to "feel out" both you and the relationship you share, so don't expect too much planning ahead. Their sensitivity can be a little misleading at times. Yes, they are sensitive folk, but lovers may find it maddening that this sensitivity is not only directed at them, but towards all of mankind.
Venus in Pisces men and women want you to know that their love is unconditional. They are unimpressed by your status, and love and accept you for all that you are inside. They love the underdog and are attracted to wayward folks, or those in need of a little help. With their romantic view of the world, they can be unreasonably attracted to states of suffering and martyrdom, so they easily get into the role of saving someone, or being saved. Unlike Venus in Libra, which thrives on equality, Venus in Pisces is actually turned on by inequality! They can be rather confusing and hard to pin down as they feel their way through their relationships. As much as they may want to, they find it hard to commit. Many do end up committing, however, at least on the surface.
Pleasing Venus in Pisces involves enjoying tender moments and romantic times with them. You won't always be able to count on them. In fact, you can be sure they will stretch the truth every once in a while. But remember they do this because they fear they might hurt you, and they can't bear to cause you any heartache. Try to understand them, although that's never an easy task considering the fact that they don't always know themselves. And, truth is, some Venus in Pisces privately have a love affair going with the idea of being misunderstood. Try to put up with their apparent lack of direction in the relationship -- they are so receptive and open to all possibilities that it is hard for them to commit to any one thing, idea, or even person. These intriguing partners will reward you with a love that is accepting and comes as close to unconditional as humans can get.
*) Karma: North Node of the Moon in Leo
In prior lives, JJ promoted social reform and brotherhood, often at the expense of close personal relationships. Creativity was repressed in favor of work for the common good.
His past lives’ goals were based on bettering the human condition, yet he remained so detached from real people that the goal became an intellectual exercise.
He have possibly spent past lives as a revolutionary, social worker, academic, or even a hermit. He still takes pride in being different from other people, and often will maintain his individuality at all costs
*) JJ’s Chinese Sign: Tiger
Tigers may not be the king of the jungle, but these striped cats are no softies! Magnetic and self-possessed, Tigers are born leaders. They have an air of authority that prompts others to fall in line, which is exactly how they like it. Although they are magnetically charming and fun to be around, Tigers like to go it alone sometimes too. A Tiger's main interest is in following its ambitions -- and maintaining control.
Tigers are courageous beyond compare and generally come out ahead in battle, be it in the boardroom or the bedroom. Seduction is one area where the Tiger is definitely king! Noble and warm-hearted, Tigers have a natural, raw appeal that's extremely attractive to other Signs. They're not just about attraction, though; ever on the side of right, Tigers will fight the good fight to the bitter end if the cause is worthy. Opponents are wise to fear this feline.
A bit of caution is a good thing around Tigers, since they can pounce without warning. They experience mood swings and often feel things more intensely than others, the latter quality being both good and bad. They can react poorly under stress and are prone to emotional outbursts. This Sign's bristling sensitivity can send friend and foe running for cover.
A lesson that Tigers would be well-served to learn is moderation in all things. Once these cats can find their center and direct their considerable energies toward worthwhile endeavors (as opposed to racing through life), they will accomplish much.

by IRANdokht on Sat Feb 28, 2009 08:29 PM PSTTraditional Pisces Traits
Imaginative and sensitive
Compassionate and kind
Selfless and unworldly
Intuitive and sympathetic
Pisceans possess a gentle, patient, malleable nature. They have many generous qualities and are friendly, good natured, kind and compassionate, sensitive to the feelings of those around them, and respond with the utmost sympathy and tact to any suffering they encounter.
They are deservedly popular with all kinds of people, partly because their easygoing, affectionate, submissive natures offer no threat or challenge to stronger and more exuberant characters.
Soooooo How much of the above description fits?
Early Happy Birthday to you Jahanshah aziz
I wish you a healthy successful and happy year surrounded by love and friends.
