Right before the 1979 revolution there was this hit Disco song that
was all over the place in Iran. I think it was called Mob Breaker or
something like that. Does anyone remeber this song? What is the actual
name and who was the artist?

The song is still in my head!

Wow! This is it! So many memories. The last time I heard this song was in 1981. It was my first month in the US and I went my uncle's apartment and he played the song for us.

Wow!

Taragheh is very happy:)))))))

Party Girl

Dear Asghar or should I call you Mr. Taragheh?

by Party Girl on

Here's my information on the song and band.  Have a good Sunday!

The song "Ma Baker" was originally performed in 1976 by the band Boney M.  They were a German band, believe it or not!  Another favorite of that era performed by them was "Daddy Cool."

And the lyrics:

This is the story of Ma Baker
the the meanest cat
In old chicago town.

She was the meanest cat
In old chicago town
She was the meanest cat
She really moved them down
She had no heart at all
No no no heart at all

She was the meanest cat
Oh she was really tough
She left her husband flat
He wasn't tough enough
She took her boys along
cos they were mean and strong

Ma ma ma ma - ma baker - she taught her four sons
Ma ma ma ma - ma baker - to handle their guns
Ma ma ma ma - ma baker - she never could cry
Ma ma ma ma - ma baker - but she knew how to die

They left a trail of crime
Across the u.s.a.
And when one boy was killed
She really made them pay
She had no heart at all
No no no heart at all

Ma ma ma ma - ma baker - she taught her four sons
Ma ma ma ma - ma baker - to handle their guns
Ma ma ma ma - ma baker - she never could cry
Ma ma ma ma - ma baker - but she knew how to die
