You have a great idea, but there is one weakness in it. The weakness is your choice of website in which you are presenting your idea.

There are far too many politically disfunctional contributors in this site. You need to present your vision somewhere else, not here.

Having said that, I'd like to say a few words about your idea.

Back in high school, in our chemistry class, we learnt that sometimes you can put two highly active substances together in a container and observe that nothing happens.

Add just one small drop of a third substance (a catalyst) and suddenly there is fire work in the container!

We do have many active ingredients in our opposition, but the catalyst is missing. The catalyst could be a leader with vision, but that is currently abscent. Another catalyst could be individuals like you who band together and attempt to unite the opposition.

They could do so based on a well estabilished vision and well defined goals and methods. This requires a website where people can come in, "brainstorm" ideas, define goals, solutions and methods, and lastly "organize" under those common ideas and goals.

Ideas, solutions and organizing (including recuriting new members and volunteers) are the key words here. If time permits, I will send you some additional information about some efforts that are being done in this area by a few individuals. Their complain? Look at your blog. How many wrote a comment? That's their complain as well.

Such task might seem hopeless at first, but with each step forward, with each new member, with each action, there will be more hope and more momentum and more enforcement of the people's will and their call for unity on the opposition groups.

I am a bit dissapointed

by ahosseini on

Either I am talking rubbish or nobody cares. Is this not worth considering? Nobody writes any comment. The point that I am trying to make is that, without exception, in almost all the major political parties, the leaders are self appointed, and just like the owners of limited companies, the leaders have  one way communication with members. If we have no objections then we must not complain about leaders making promises and breaking promises, once they come to power. I am suggesting that we should put pressure on these so called star politicians to open themselves up to members, allow members to take part in discussions, and in electing leaders. All these leaders are dictators in their political groups. I think we should put pressure on them to be more accountable to members and in future to the people when they run the country. We need to start exercising democracy while we are in opposition. Otherwise how are we going to find out if these parties are linked to any despotic regime or financial powers in the world.

If they claim they believe in democracy and rely on people's vote then they should create membership websites and allow trusted members create their own blogs(a website similar to iranian.com) so they practically allow freedom of expression.
