SAM: You hit the nail on

by vildemose on

SAM: You hit the nail on the head. The jig is up. The major problem IRI is facing right now is the crisis of confidence in the market and the Iranian economy.  Some khodi economists want to raise interest rates even higher to resolve their cash flow problem...

Shazde Asdola Mirza

IRI ponzi scheme unraveling ... simple as that

by Shazde Asdola Mirza on

For the past 12 years, the IRI regime had artificially kept the Rial-Dollar exchange rate at 10,000 to 1.

Meanwhile, in Iran the inflation rate was on average 23%, while in US it was only 3%!

How can one country peg its currency to another country's, with 20% disparity in inflation rate?

The IRI banks were paying on average 25% interest on long-term deposits ... You could put in $100 in year 2000 and get $1,000 in year 2010!

If that was not a Ponzi scheme, then nothing is.

Now the jig is up. The IRI banks were paying interest using other people's principle. The IRI banks were taking in more dollars through outside investments, by greedy Iranian expats; than was shipped out by the Mullahs and the IRI officials. Now the flow has reversed.

Tabrik!

It is disturbing to me that

It is disturbing to me that some of us losing our focus on Iran's main advesary, the dictatorship.  The problem is not Ahamadinajad, the problem was and is always the Estebdad.  It is unfortunate that still we are trying to sort out good and bad dictators, the fact is that they are all costly and sooner or later we have to pay the price.  Estebdad should be our main focus, not a bad or a good servant of the dictatorship.

What a mismanagement of Iran for 33 years! Shah's era was like

by amirparvizforsecularmonarchy on

Paradise on earth compared with the last 33 years, especially considering the future was always brighter year after year for the majority of people and even the harshest critics have to admit this is true.  Today, No one has any hope for the future of Iran in IRI hands, not even mullahs mozdors, except the Mozdors on IC support IRI for some pea-nut-between-the-ears-cock personal benefit at the expense of all Iranians.  Obviously when the Founder of the Disaster of 79 Kholmeini says "Economics is for Donkeys" the real issue becomes... is it not obvious for all Iranians now, why Iran has been declining since 1979 when the mullahs took over leadership, every single year, with not one positive year.  Blaming the wests sanctions by anti-secular akhoond fans is a major distraction, from Regime of Mullahs pathetic record for 33 years.  Enemies in West do have "major responsibility" in a sense for 1) Bringing IRI/mulahs to power and 2) making it close to impossible to remove them and 3) helping the IRI keep its hold on the country at the expense of the people in IRAN despite the popular will opposed to the Akhoods.

During Hoveyda's trial, the idiots asked him what he had done in "13" years.  He took a Bic  pen out saying "when I took over, this pen was 5 Rials, and today it is still 5 Rials".  The idiots did not understand him then, as well as now!

From the first day of coming to power  to the present, the Messianic Islamist Rapists, "reformers" and all, have followed their Imam Khomeini's dictate:
