In short you can change the head cover

by aynak on

remove it or put something on it, but inside the head is what is important.    Poor Reza Shah thought that by forcing men to put on that cap instead of Kolah Namadi,he would alter the mind set.   (which says something about his own mind set).

Then Khomaney and the gang thought by forcefully putting headscarve and Chador back on, they can change human nature.

Hopeully we will have an Iran one day, where it is the duty of state to protect the right of individuals instead of enforcing the state notion of what's "good" for individuals.

We are where we are for a collection of reasons.  But to change, we don't even have to reinvent the wheel, only recognize the main ingrident of success:  freedom of individuals and checks and balances/limited power for state

When men drift away during business meetings, they think about their dates from the night before and what the future will bring!

Here is an example.

Are you also suggesting

Are you also suggesting that men during the meetings at work are actually thinking about sport rather than participating in the topic of the meeting and contribute accordingly?

Just curious

oh Lordie, lordie. i can not wait to hear chief, senior faramarz's response on this one. make it a juicy one brother. Oh and watch for the moosh that maybe eavesdropping on behalf of the WOMEN's movement or something. (what am i doing...i am digging my own garve here).

What a brilliant analysis. Merci beaucoup! (just found out i passed my basic level french course), But i have to declare faramarz the winner in this case. i mean the man know his shi... inside and out, no matte how SK tries to deviate from the subject as is common for women all over the world.

Please don't get bent out of shape when someone mentions women and shopping! Just go to your nearest shopping mall or grocery store and count heads.

It is similar to men watching sports. I won't take it as a sexist comment if someone says that.

C'mon, stop walking on the eggshells!

Soosan Khanoom

haha ... What a sexist comment Faramarz!

by Soosan Khanoom on

I pretend that I did not hear it.  : )

The poor woman , by her extensive head nodding, possibly is demonstrating the head trauma caused to her either by Reza shah to remove her Hejab or by Khomeini to put it on.   It is well documented that the strike of Baton in the head will cause a gesture in which the head is tilted in alternating up and down arcs along the sagittal plane.

By the way, I could not listen to more than 5 minutes of this ..... anyone who thinks Reza shah offered freedom to women does not have much to offer.

The second lady is actually doing her grocery shopping list, but once in a while she nods pretending that she is paying attention!

It is a known trick widely used in business meetings.

Long Video, but worth every second to learn details

With the Pahlavi's Iranians were starting to make progress especially during  the
late shahs time.  Iranians had many ignorant mullahs and their followers in
comparison to European societies, but knowledgeable iranians were rapidly increasing.  Had
the Era of peace, progress and human rights not been thwarted by the
USA/UK/France with all the intentional Slander and Nasty Demonization of the late
shahs team today the new generation would be living lives filled with
hope based on truth, not despair based on lies they are forced to
swallow.
