thestar.com: Physicist Reza Moridi is becoming more successful in the art of political science. The former scientist, engineer, teacher and business executive won his second term as Liberal MPP for Richmond Hill on Thursday night in a tough battle with Progressive Conservative candidate Vic Gupta, who runs a public relations consulting firm. “I am humbled and honoured that the people of Richmond Hill have chosen to have me to continue the work that we have done together over the last four years” said the soft-spoken Moridi, while celebrating with his campaign team at the Shiraz Restaurant >>>

Success?!
by comments on Fri Oct 07, 2011 04:36 PM PDTI am not sure if I could target a success in here. It could mean Iranians vote for Iranians, but other cultures vote for Canadians and also their own people.
It simply shows an integration is very difficult for Iranians. They are not able to "trust" other cultures because they were raised in Iran under IRI culture. Iranians in Iran are not in contact with the real world: other people and their culture and countries.
It's good to see an Iranian defeat an indian candidate in Canada
by iraj khan on Fri Oct 07, 2011 02:06 PM PDTAnd I really mean it.
Over here in U.S. it's always the other way around.
Indian politicians who get elected here are conservative and mostly belong to the Republican party.
Congrats. Reza jon.
