The Gardener

Look at her
From the bedroom window.
With her slender fingers
She creates beautiful colors
Out of the dark earth.
Shining shovel and earrings
Painted fingernails and petals
Golden hair and sunflowers
At last
She buries her hands
Inside the compost heap
And feels its warmth deeply
Just like the rose bush
She has planted.

باغبان
------
به او نگاه کن
از پنجره ی اتاق خواب.
با انگشت های کشیده اش
رنگ های زیبا می آفریند
از دل تیره ی خاک.
برقِ بیلچه و گوشواره ها
لاک ناخن ها و گلبرگ ها
زریِ موها و آفتابگردان ها
دست آخر
دو دستش را در تل کود پنهان می کند
تا گرمای آن را
چون بوته ی گلی که نشانده
در جان خود حس کند.
