Mardom MazloomThu Oct 28, 2010 05:02 PM PDT

à bon entendeur salut !
Gavroche:
Gavroche:
Je suis tombé sur terre
Même Dieu ne sait pas comment
Je n'ai ni père, ni mère
Qui m'reconnaissent leur enfant
J'me suis fait une famille
Avec ceux qui n'en ont pas
Joyeux drilles en guenilles
Avec un cœur gros comme ça
Tous:
Gavroche:
Je suis un va-nu-pieds
Mais nu, le pied va quand même
Je prends ce qui me plaît
Pour payer, pas de problème
Je fais des pieds de nez
Aux marchands et à leurs dames
Tous:
Gavroche:
On me connaît partout

Kowsar is Right !
by Darius Kadivar on Thu Oct 28, 2010 03:53 AM PDTI agree with most of what he said in a debate which underlines the dilemmas faced by all journalists in trying to find the right balance between his personal beliefs and honest reporting.
It is never easy to draw a clear cut line between what has to be reported or not or in the way a given news or information has to be conveyed to public opinion given the impact that news could have on the course of events.
Yet like Kowsar I believe that the quest for Truth however ugly it can prove to be has to be the ultimate duty of the journalist even if it means that it could shake our own convictions and ideological preferences.
What he said about Khomeiny's real thoughts as having been hidden to public opinion and only their interpretation as conveyed by the likes of Ghobtzadeh or BaniSadre is a perfect example of how people were fooled including the likes of French Philosopher Michel Foucault who went head over heals over Khomeiny whom he described as an Iranian Ghandi.
I understand Masih Alinejad's youthful infatuation for the Pre Selected Green Leaders and Moussavi in particular but it should not be at the expense of fooling oneself on the true nature of the ideals he upholds and which are at odds with what the majority of Iranians I believe demand today which is Regime Change.
Moussavi and probably even more than the far more physically brave Karroubi or even the late Ayatollah Montazeri wishes to preserve the Republic and it's religious constitution.
Now should for that matter a Journalist be Opinion less or Not Partisan particularly in defense of the voiceless ?
I Don't think so ...

Mr. Kowsar has it right
by Abarmard on Wed Oct 27, 2010 10:04 AM PDTHe is more trustworthy as a reporter because his concept is based on providing information with trust to his audience.
Once in high school in Iran, one of my classmate stole some equipments from that school, telling him what wrong he has done he answered: "ey baba, this is Iran, you don't do it someone else would." You have to stick to your principles and follow what's right not the situation and your interpretation of the situation.
It is a mistake to say that the news in Iran is "false". It is better to say that the news in Iran is "selective", and perhaps this can be said for most countries in the world. However what some freer countries do is to allow investigative reporting, meaning that the news agencies provide the news, the countries filter those news from those agencies, fit for their political agenda, and the reporters (may) take a step further to prove or disprove that news (or the other point of view).
Tip of the arrow!
by Immortal Guard on Wed Oct 27, 2010 09:50 AM PDTI liked that electronic graduate Ali Amirshahi! First of all he looks really Persian. He brings a different perspective into the debate which emanates from his educational background! He talked about "redirecting the tip of the arrow" and "looking at a problem in different dimensions". That is what is needed in today's world with respect to social sciences: a multidisciplinary and cross-disciplinary approach to defining and understanding problems. He is using an electronic engineering approach to media communications!
Great! Maybe the next time he will mention "the tip of the iceberg"!
