Hossein Maleki Ronaghi

Blogger known as Babak Khoramdin sentenced to 15 years

RFERL:: Iranian blogger Hossein Maleki Ronaghi has been reportedly sentenced to 15 years in prison. Ronaghi’s mother, Zoleikha Mousavi, told the BBC's Persian service that authorities informed him about the heavy prison sentence verbally. She said that Ronaghi has been on a hunger strike since October 3 to protest his mistreatment in prison. He’s reportedly being held in an Evin prison ward that is controlled by the Revolutionary Guard Corps. Ronaghi’s mother says that her son, who was arrested during the June 2009 postelection crackdown, has spent 300 days in solitary confinement. Charges against him reportedly include acting against Iran’s national security and working with foreign media. She says her son has said that he has been threatened in jail with execution and that he's been pressured to make false confessions. Ronaghi, who blogged under the name Babak Khoramdin, is often described as a “genius” because of his computer and online skills >>>

Yup, don't hang your head in shame

by Bavafa on

When they ask: "where were you when they were prosecuting me"

You can proudly say: "well I didn't have it in me to go and fight the regime myself… you see I just couldn't leave the comfort of UK and US and go home to fight the Mullahs, you all know how polluted the air is in Tehran and you have to wait in line just to buy bread. So instead, I supported their military to bomb my home land to stone ages and turn it to Iraq and Afghanistan."

Your fake concerns and shallow gestures of solidarity will not set Hossein free.  He will remember as will the thousands of Iranians in prison who will ask: What did you do to help me? Why did you not stand up to those that persecuted me?

The world is watching you and your silence grows ever so louder.

Please support military action before you hang your head in shame.

Islam suppose to be this "compilete" religion and yet, a 15 year old can question its existant?

How is it that the IRI is afraid of a 15 years old? how is a 15 year old could topple the IRI? if a logic of a 15 year old is stronger than 70+ years old Khameneii then under what logical base is he the leader of Iran?

They can`t even answer to a 15 year old, how are they going to answer to a bit older like Sohrab e arabi? or Neda Agha Soltan?

I guess we all know the answers to that.

Outrageous sentence.....it is time to nominate him for next year's Nobel Prize...also Majid Tavakoli, Shiva Nazar Ahari, and Ashtiani's lawyer etc.......If Liu Xiaobo qualifies for Nobel Prize, many people in IRI's jails qualify!

Imprisoning innocent Iranian young and old, men and women, Muslim or otherwise will only excel their demise.
