Haikus on the Green Movement

Haikus on the Green Movement

the dead of winter
warmth in the Sunshine Café
earl gray tea and cake

my laptop is on
Iran on BBC world
riots, blood, fire

at the stroke of key
my eyelids open to green
hue of uprising

scent of roasted beans
my people’s anger, my peace
my guilt being so free

taste of tears and tea
my body here, my heart there
my mind in-between

the music changes
I smile at a couple
the hope of return

Ps. Orang Jan, I like earl grey Bravo or Aristocrate earl grey. It's more citrus-y than most earl greys. ~ Cheers.
