Reza Pahlavi: Green Movement

New York City, September 25, 2009

YouTube intro: Friday September 25, 2009, Rockefeller Center, NY I got to interview Reza Pahlavi on our third day in NY, where we had flewn to in order to protest Ahmadinejad's stay in NY and talk at the UN. On Friday, around noon, as a group of us GREENs were in front of the NBC building in NY watching Reza Pahlavi's lecture, I got to get an interview while he was on his way out. The interview was necessary since some Pro Monarchy groups have been compeletly against the GREEN movement and as a journalist I needed to hear what Mr. Pahlavi himself had to say. To my surprise, he is very pro green and even wore the GREEN wristband my sister handed to him. This clip clears up a lot of issues that have caused rifts between our people outside Iran. Hope we all unite in solidarity with the people of Iran. Video & Copyright by Bita

Farah is a bi-gender name; and your comment is rather masculine.

I am terribly sorry; but I must be missing the point here.

Are you looking for a partner or something?

Having a psychological issue, as it looks like to be your case,  should
not be, and is not, a source of shame.Everybody else is talking about the Pahlavis' corrupt past and present; so be it. If you want to talk about your darker side, I think, you should feel free.

It seems that, yes indeed, I had missed your kinky and perverted
comment because I am not a rent-a-blogger so to speak; I am here just
to chew gum and shoot some heads or something like that.

For all I know Reza Pahlavi

by benross on

For all I know Reza Pahlavi is not a monarchist per se

So true... and this is all we can come-up with about the most prominent political figure abroad! yet he owes all his prominence to his inheritance.

But let's assume there is a good reason for that. We can assume it now. But not for ever.

I don't understand what you mean here!

Would you please elaborate more about your point? "Reza Phalavi is not a monarchist and please stop attacking DK!!!!!! "

As long as I remember, DK is always promoting RP as the "Crowned Prince" and keep sticking to the Royal family like we are still in before revolution era.

What you meant by this?

I have nothing against the Pahlavi family and specially I like RP as a nice person, but would you please tell me how can we not believe that all the Iranian Monarchists dream of RP being back as the future Shah of Iran? At least this is what we see in all the monarchist TV program : A lion and sward flag, along with the portray of RP every where

It could very well be a Hasan Kachal story! (to Mrs. Rusta)

by kharmagas on

F. Rusta says: "For all I know Reza Pahlavi is not a monarchist per se."

I agree Khanome Rusta, it could very well be a Hasan Kachal story, except in this case
the aristocrats (and the "freelance journalist" AristoClown) are trying
to cover RP2's head with a sheep's shekanbeh, ...., even though RP2
says "this thing you are trying on my head stinks"!

Ladies and Gents: Time please!

by Farah Rusta on

I don't know what you guys are quarelling about.

For all I know Reza Pahlavi is not a monarchist per se. He favors a secular parliamentary democracy for Iran regardless of the type or the color it may take.

So please stop attacking my good friend Mr Kadivar and other monarchists on this site. You have taken a completely wrong view of modern Monarchism.

There is a social culture which is the 'the world according to Toodé party'. You can see it alive and kicking in IRI.

Then there is a modern social culture, which is for us and the new generation to discover. You can't beat IRI with their own arguments.

Dariush: Suppose your allegations are true. How do you justify your endorsment of the Islamic Republic and Ahmadinejad?? I can easily accuse of being an agent of the Islamic Republic and propagandizing on their behalf and the proof is archived on this very wesbisite. Do you not think your endorsment of the  criminal regime of the IRI does not make you an enemy of Iran and Iranians?? Do you think your support of status quo is benign and should not be considered as collaboration with the enemies of Iran??

Let's talk about your ties to IRI, Basij, IRGC, and who knows what else. Do you think you're any better than RP?? I don't think so. You're  a domestic enemy of Iran, which is worse than AIPAC, or the neocosn who are external enemies.

Do you think the actions of the leadership of the Islamic Republic are Saintly and your support of the butchers of IRI should not be considered as Vatan Foroushi??

by kharmagas on

I confess I am laughing a lot at many of you monarchists, but I bet if RP2 is reading these comments he is laughing harder than me, because he has had personal contacts with many of you AristoClowns!

Dariush

vildamose / NOT_AK69

by Dariush on

He has been involved in promoting and supporting coup, war and sanctions against IRAN which has resulted in hundreds of thousands dead and millions injured.  This carries one life sentence.  Then he and his entire family are responsible for robbing the country out of Billions of Dollars.  He has had a large potion of that wealth in his possession for 30 years knowing where they have come from and whom they belong to.  This also carries another life sentence.

Now you argue that his actions have been right,  because they have been against IRI,  Then based on your logic,  Saddam, U.S. and the rest were right too.  In this case your position is clear. This is a foolish logic and only a fool falls for it.

I also think for some, life of a few killed in demonstrations are more valuable than hundreds of thousands killed to saved the country and millions of lives. To me they are all valuable,  that is why I am against any action that causes harm to the country and people, want it to be West, East, CLOWN PRICE or Khamenei.

I repeat it again, Pahlavis were not chosen by people. They were planted by British and Americans, therefore, neither legally nor morally have any such rights.  If anything, they are also responsible for the coup of 1953 and many other crimes by members of this family since then, such as drug trafficking, murders, assassinations, prostitution rings and much more, which calls for yet another life term.

The fact that U.S. Israel, CLOWN prince, Rafsanjani and some others support this movement speaks for itself.

You think this is New York Times or the Economist?  These blogs are written by nut jobs like you and I who write kose sher due to lack of other things to do.

Rob Sobhani has significantly more political experience than you and 99.9% of posters on here.  And he is not a cleric although he is a Muslim, at least by name.

If he was going to run for a political office in Iran, more power to him.  Let the voters of Iran make the decision on Sohrab and RP if Iran ever gets to that point.

Very intersting interview...

by Midwesty on

Although a gullible viewer might get carried
away with his appealing slogans, his low key public appearance, and unifying message, what I see is an out of touch politician that feeds you what you want to hear, a worn out cliché copied from American politics.

However I very much welcome his renewed image into Iranian politcs. It will stir up some interest among real Iranian thinkers with heartach for Iran and it will challenge the IRI to put its sh*t together.

Very interresting interview indeed from technical point of view. Next time I'd like to see the behind camera scenes.

The go between AIPAC and Reza Pahlavi is a man named Sohrob [Rob] Sobhani.

Excerpts:

The form of government would be a constitutional monarchy, with the head of state being Reza Pahlavi, son of the former Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who was deposed in the 1978-79 Islamic revolution.
The Bush administration apparently has a handpicked American “plumber” ready to go in Iran, much like Ahmed Chalabi in Iraq. This is Sohrab “Rob” Sobhani, an Iranian-American associated with the neoconservatives in Washington. With Reza Pahlavi as Shah, the 40-ish Sobhani would presumably be prime minister or president.

The propaganda apparatus of the Pahlavis is in full force; trying to cover all aspects of the current situation. It's only a mirage for them.

What monarchists don't understand is Reza Pahlavi's lack of credibility.

If you really want a king for the sake of the interests of the nation, you should look outside Pahlavi's clan. The Pahlavis are hopeless.
