The event was organized by Persian Culture and Language Department of Leiden University in Holland on 14 January 2011.Researchers and PhD students of Persian Studies delivered interesting Lectures on various aspects of Persian poetry and literature:

- Kyan Mortazavi: Yazdi and Constitutional Poetry
- Mahnia Nematollahi Mahani: Iran-Iraq War Poetry
- Marije Klein Lahuti: ‘mijn rijkdom van vis tot maan’
- Mohammed Al-Sulami: The Arabic version of Omar Khayyam's works

- Esfaindyar Daneshvar: Culture & Islamic Traditions in French-Persian literature
- Koushyar Parsi: Moderne Perzische poëzie in Nederland
- Mohammad Chehrazad: Persian Constitutional Poetry
- Amin Ghodratzadeh: Aref-e Qazvini en de Constitutionele Revolutie
- Nasim Khaksar: Poetry reading

More than 100 people attended the event that more than half of them were Dutch.
