باورم نیست کزین ابر چنین تندر خاست
و گلوگاه همه نغمه سرایان را خست
(1)"دیرگاهیست که در خانۀ همسایۀ من خوانده خروس"
شاید آنجا سحری آمده است.
باز هم پرسیدم
ماه مرداد آمد
نفسی گرم نه از سینۀ تابستان خاست.
کس نخوانده است برای دل سهراب آواز.
بامدادم مرده است؟
نه امیدیست که در خاک دمد نور امید؟
نه فروغی که کند بر سر البرز نگاه؟
شاید آن کوکب رهیاب غزل گم شده است؟
نغمه ها در قدم علم ریاضی مردند؟
نغمه خوانان همه خاموشانند.
باز در خوز تفکر گفتم
ابرها در راهند
دشتها پهناور.
سبلان پا بر جاست
چشمه ساران بیدار.
رود کارون جاریست
جنگل هستی انسان سر سبز.
آوخ، این دشت چرا افسرده است؟
با خود اندیشیدم.
گرچه این بادیه تار است هنوز.
شاخه های گل سوری تهی از بانگ هَزار است هنوز.
باز اندیشه اگر باز به پرواز آرم؛
خامه را بنده گی ملک سخن آموزم؛
یا اگر مرغ شباهنگ شوم بر این بام
حق زنم بر در و دیوارۀ این شام سیاه؛
شاید امید آید؛
بامدادی زاید؛
و فروغی شکفد در دل تاریک افق؛
نغمه از بند ریاضی برهد
بلبلان هم بسرایند برای دل سهراب آواز.

by IRANdokht on Tue May 27, 2008 10:09 AM PDTI noticed the names and I thought how beautiful it'd be to have all those great minds and words back again... just like having our old lives back. I like the play with the names and the positive feeling they gave me.
Thanks for sharing even if my interpretation does not match what you had in mind when writing the poem.
I doubt that Hafez meant what I take out of his words too! ;-)

Of the four names that are mentioned in this verse I meant: Mehdi Akhavaan Saales (meem Omeed), Ahmad Shaamloo (A. Baamdaad), Shohraab Sepehree, and Froogh Farrokhzaad. I hope it is clear now why I am trying to write these verses: somehow to herald the rebirth of great names.
