Tide turning for the Iranian protestors?

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow shows the amateur video clips of the recent protest in Iran.

Trita Parsi, president of the National Iranian American Council, talks with Rachel Maddow about why the anti-government protests in Iran six months after the bitterly contested election suggest a strengthening of the anti-government movement.

Rachel asked Dr Parsi for his take of President Obama's message regarding the Iranian people. This program aired tonight Monday 28th of December.

Ari jan your comment was right on the money. I agree with your take on Rachel, her show and Parsi's comments. I sure hope the White House is listening... Thanks!

Divaneh aziz, as you see what negative people are saying about Dr Parsi and NIAC is biased and sheer nonsense. All you have to do is listen to what he says and see the facts for yourself. Their hate is rooted in ignorance. Thanks for your comment.

Thanks Ahmad, Mehrdad and Nur, I think that's the good non-violence route.

Maddow's show is truthful and informed political programming. She combines jounalistic integrity with high intelligence, wit and humor backed by some good education--a Stanford degree in public policy and an Oxford doctorate in politics.  Guests on the Maddow show are playing in the big league for positive and honest change of the US status quo.

Parsi's on-the-air recommendation to President Obama to speak more frequently of human rights will likely be followed by the White House. I will be watching for this development in the news.

Maddow's toughest question: Who in Iran, what sectors of society, what geographic locations is the movement drawing strength from. Parsi does a good job of re-interpreting the question so that he is able to showcase the resilience of the movement.

Thank you for posting this Irandokht. I do understand that some people are suspicious of Trita, but I still have not heard anything that harms real interest of Iran. He seems to promote the right policies in relation to Iran.

We need the General Strike

Once the itisab ummumi happens, it's all over for the regime. People are talking about it, but how close are we to this actually happening?
