Scott Lucas reports on that at Enduring America:
0940 GMT: The Arrests. Opposition advisor Mojtaba Vahedi has claimed in an interview that Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the Supreme Leader, played a key role in the decision to arrest Mir Hossein Mousavi, Zahra Rahnavard, and Mehdi and Fatemeh Karroubi on Thursday night.
Vahedi asserted that Iran's judiciary, headed by Sadegh Larijani, was against the move but was overruled by the Supreme Thug's office.

Why do dictators always seem to breed such psychopaths. Saddem Hussein had two vicious sons. So does Khadafi. Mojtaba is another chip off the old bloc. One reason the Supreme Thug is attempting to oust Rafsanjani from a high position is so that he can make his psycho son his own heir in a sort of islamic monarchy. Thus the revolution comes full circle...from one monarchy to another.
Murderous Mojtaba, aka "Little Caligula" is also believed to have played a central role in rigging the elections and in the crackdown afterwards.

I know people say "no executions", "no violence"...
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Wed Mar 02, 2011 08:00 AM PSTBut I have no issues, absolutely none whatsoever, with executing the will of the Iranian nation on this munster whilst his daddy is watching, before his own turn comes.
Doesn't surprise me in the least.
by Reality-Bites on Wed Mar 02, 2011 06:17 AM PSTDearest Mojtaba is also thought to be behind much of the violent suppression of the anti-regime protests of 2009. He has certainly been working hard behind the scenes to demonstrate his IRI, i.e. intolerant and anti-freedom/democracy/Human Rights credentials, to stake his claim for future leadership.
Their criminal track record
by radius-of-the-persian-cat on Tue Mar 01, 2011 10:12 AM PSTThis illegitimate arrest of Mousavi and Karoubi will only add another chapter to the criminal track record of Kameneij, Achmadenijad and their breed. And once they will have to pay for this, hopefully here on earth and sentenced by the free iranian people.
