Pirooz Talk

by Doctor mohandes on

Talk so passionately against "foreign imposed" rulers as if we are witnessing anything opposite of that today. There is plenty more of that foreign dependence that is far more up the posterior end of... the $%$% that puts the ones before them to shame.

Yeah, Go ahead pirooz. Start writing a Toomar about the akompeeleeshments and the superiority of the airforce (aire being foreced out of where...?) and the ground forces... and blah blah./

You know. Your usual routine.

Adjoudani is not the only one praising reza shah

by Hoshang Targol on

Another on is the erstwhile progressive Ali MirFetros, below is one of his latest contributions, with a brief intro, cheers

_________________________________________________________________

بهزاد __________________________________________

 * مشکل منطقه

SP, what did the Pahlavis did to your great grand father?? Talking about your bitterness is the first step toward healing and recovery, and perhaps sanity in your case. LOL

Pirouz dear let's not get too serious :)

Otherwise I may tell you more about Merats that you have never heard from your dad (bless him) and others.

One of the first symptoms of embittered folks is denying their embitterness, which in your case is deeply personal.

Perhaps lost a bit more than we think?

by Hoshang Targol on

We could add to the list of Arani also Mir Zadeh Esh'ghi and a few more. In terms of properties lost, by the end of his reign he practically owned half the country. How was all that accumulated? Perchance many people lost many things. One of them was a gentlman with the last name pahlavi ( from whome they took their 'name' from, Sharab probably knows his name). As Shamlo says, Adolph Reza Khan had a tendency to take what didn't belong to him.

It's not embitterment. (I've no personal cause for such.)

Like I said before, it's contempt.

My grandfather was a loyal minister in Reza Shah's court. So was my great-grandfather. But that doesn't skew my perspective.

The inescapable fact remains that Reza Shah was stomped in '41. I mean, when only the Minister of Education at the time has the balls to tour the Russian aerial bombing damage and rally the populace in Tehran, what sort of "royal" rule and leadership are we  talking about? It was something of a joke. My family witnessed it all from the top. We're not going to make excuses. And we're certainly not going to engage in nostalgic reverence for a loser. Nor for a foreign imposed coward.

Much better to look forward than it is to look backward. Presently, the old country is sticking up for itself on the world stage. That has to account for something.

Pirouz joon your embitterment is laud and clear

And as I have said it many times before the only solution to it is to stick to your regular dose of anti-depressants darling. Stop polishing that BMW and get on with something useful for a change

A mixed record from

by Sargord Pirouz on

A mixed record from authoritarian rule. A great deal of corruption. And an impotent military response that precludes any establishment of "Great" to his title.

I will say this: it was unfortunate that Iran's leader was removed, to be replaced by a foreign-imposed coward.

Reza Shah the Great

by Simorgh5555 on

This man deserves the reverence of all Iranians. This man single handedly united the Iran and prevented her from turning into a series of ethnic bantustans. Reza Shah was the force behind the modernisation of Iran and the development of the country's civil infrastructure.  The debt of gratitude we owe this man as Iranians is enormous.

Found & Lost

No one, absolutely no one, should deny Reza Shah's patriotic service to our beloved homeland (including, or excluding Arani's saga, according to one's own taste).

Mr. Adjoudani knows better than most that it was Reza Shah's Son who stole the spotlight from His Father by means of His peculiar method of governance which ultimately unfounded(?) a 25-century national tradition.

Never increase, beyond what is necessary, the number of entities required to explain anything.
