Mohsen Daneshpour Moghaddam: Prisoner of the day
HRANA: Mohsen Daneshpour Moghaddam, 68, is a political prisoner on death row inside Evin Prison's Ward 350.
Mohsen Daneshpour Moghaddam was arrested at his home on Ashura Day 2009 (December 27, 2009), along with his wife, Motahareh Bahrami Haghighi, their son, Ahmad Daneshpour Moghaddam, and two friends by the name of Rayhaneh Haj Ebrahim Dabbagh and Hadi Ghaemi.
In a secret and ambiguous trial, Mohsen and Ahmad Daneshpour were sentenced to death, Motahareh Bahrami was sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment in exile at Rajaee Shahr Prison, Rayhaneh Haj Ebrahim Dabbagh to 15 years' imprisonment in exile at Rajaee Shahr Prison, and Hadi Ghaemi to 15 years' imprisonment in exile at Gonbad-e Kavoos Prison. The group's charges were announced as "supporting the Mojahedin-e Khalgh Organization," and "participating in the protests."
Mohsen Daneshpour was sentenced to death on these charges and his sentence was upheld in Branch 36 of Tehran Appeals Court. He was never served with the court ruling and his court-appointed lawyer remains unidentified.
Mohsen Daneshpour Moghaddam is in very poor health conditions and suffers from heart disease, arthritis, and depression.
Two of Mohsen Daneshpour Moghaddam's brothers were executed in the 1980's.

Backbreaking airtight sanctions plus air/naval quarantine in addition to logistical help to the Iranian people to empower them to overthrow the Islamist rapists is a must.
