14 political prisoners flogged: Prisoners of the day
BBC Persian: According to sources close to Iranian opposition groups, during the recent days 14 political prisoners inside Evin Prison's Ward 350 have been flogged.
According to a Monday, August 13 Kaleme Website report, starting on Saturday, August 11, political prisoners Siamak Ghaderi, Rahman Bouzari, Ebrahim Babaei Yazdi, Hossein Zarrini, Kourosh Kouhkan, Nasser Azarnia, Hooman Moussavi, Mazdak Ali Nazari, Alireza Kia, Amir Latifi, Ashkan Allahyari, Rassoul Hardani, and Kamran Ayazi have been flogged at Evin Prison.
According to Kaleme, Majid Sadeghi Nejad was also flogged last week.
Farzaneh Mirzavand, wife of journalist Siamak Ghaderi told the BBC Persian Service that during her visit with her husband today, she was very upset to learn about his flogging. She was also informed that the flogging of another political prisoner, Kamran Ayazi, has led to his severe bleeding.
