POETRY

The words are pealing

on a moist Tuesday morning

to be a reminder of the mortality

of all. The pain, a burning ocean causes

while it pours through the fist,

and the fist pushes through the heart.
 

And we mourn you, my friend,

to forget you once walked in

a Praha market to buy strawberries, to

take photos, and send them where

you were loved by a mother cradle to

grave. But do not ask me where,

and do not ask me when the earth will be

pawing the air for your rebirth.
