by Azarin Sadegh

Its not as dark as I wanted it to be...

by Azarin Sadegh on

Thanks to all of you for your kind words!

I know this poem is dark...but still it is not as dark as this devastation I’ve been feeling inside. Each time I watch Neda's video (that I've watched at least a thousand times) I feel like dying toward the end, and each time I catch her last absent gaze, I feel even worse, since I am still alive, but not her.

But what’s living? What’s death?

I’m sure Neda is going to live forever, the same way Iran will always live and Neda’s death is the proof of it.

Thanks again, Azarin

For Quite a Long time

by Abol Hassan Danesh, Sociologist (not verified) on

It has been for quite a long time that I hadn't read a cool and wonderful poem in farsi until this one came along. Indeed, it has a right beating, slashing, pampering, and egotistical altruism all at the same time.

Looking forward to see Asarin to keep writing until her thick poetry book is all complete and out published ready to be bought in major book stores around the globe.

Keep up the good work to the end until sun in the midst of summer gets frost bite from the cold heartedness of man's all rational and all logical mind

Calm Before Storm

by Bram (not verified) on

Dear Azarin:

Don't be so sad, this is the sign of a typical calm before storm. Just keep looking, keep your head up and keep watching. Keep your head up because you are an Iranian. Iranians die standing up. For 1400 years we Iranians have fought to regain our identity, we had some victories and some disappointments. But, this time I am asking you watch the skies because a storm is brewing the one which after 1400 years with its powerfull tunders will blow away the dark and sick cloud which has covered our sun. The sun, sord and lion of our homeland after 1400 years will return and find its place on our green, white, and red flag. No longer five times a day we will face the home of the invaders of our land to express our total surrender. Surrender no more. Our Iran will be free and we Iranians will be free, FREE AT LAST, FREE OF ISLAM and the missery it brought to our beautiful country. So keep your head up and watch the end of 1400 years of surrender.

Brilliant

by Nazy Kaviani on

Your poem is so powerful, Azarin. I wonder what made you write it in Farsi. Could it be that the pain and anger you are feeling right now cannot be yelled and expressed adequately in any other language but our mother tongue, the one that runs most naturally and smoothly out of our hearts and throats and tells our stories the fastest and the best? Whatever made your poem pour out of you in Farsi has worked my friend. I think you have written it in words that could be heard by the millions you agonize over these days. Well done, Azarin.

Just brilliant

by David ET on

At last you left me speechless...

So I borrow from Asieh Amini who just wrote:
