They may be able to help you. Also much of this material may be available at the Iranian Cinemateque of Tehran which was created by Farrokh Gaffary I believe. Many films still exist in IRan despite the revolution and the cultural purge but I am not certain if they were maintained in good shape. They may need to be remastered which normally should be the case of most classic films.

Hello Darius,
I read your article at Persianmirror again, I had read it before, very informative and colorful.
I have a question to ask you. In my parental family albums I have some very well-preserved photos of Ahmad Dehghan and Medhi Ghotbee and other early movie personalities in scenes from movies or just random posing.
There was I believe one movie they played back in mid or late 30's. I know it was not "Arooseh Fararee". But would you know the name of that particular one or some of the movies in that era and the list of all the players? Do you know how can I get access to some of the clips to watch or at least to read about and the names of actors/actresses? I think the producers were perhaps Sheikh and Koushan, not sure.

I used to have a partial reel of one of such movies but it disappeared.

And as for the above movie clip I really liked it. The ever-present cigarette, quite funny....and "le batterie"
