Mojezehgar

Rare recording of unreleased Googoosh song. It was apparently recorded in Iran during the 70s and was never released. It was released 20 years later in the States (in the 1990s), while Googoosh was still living in Iran under state-imposed silence. -- mrmagassi

You wouldn't like to read this...

by Aarash4545 on

but in the pre-revolutionary year or so, the artisits (and I mean all of them) were competing head over heel to write or perform revolutionary songs, most men sporting 'Islamic' beard, or like th turncoat Shajarian protesting the braodcast of their songs from Radio/TV.

This song of Googoosh was written and recorded during that time, and sepecifically for khomeini!!!  Yes... for that devil of "Mo'jezegar". All you need is to listen to it again very attentively...you can't possibly miss the message!

It's amazing how forgetful people are and how forgiving!!!  We still love and worship her... but like all the rest.. she too was and still is a turncoat!

Sorry to be a party pooper!?

She is absolutely amazing, unique and timeless. She has special touch. She owns the songs and that's why they are so enjoyable & refreshing at anytime. Thank for posting this beautiful song.

Just amazing

Isn't it amazing that every song -- EVERY song -- she did in that era still sound great? I don't think it's just nostalgia. The music, the lyrics, the melodies and Googoosh's own performances are just amazing. Were just amazing.

It was wonderful to hear something "new" after all these years. Thanks GS for another wonderful find.
