Zahra Karimi, the new face of the IRI

by John Carpenter III (not verified) on

Zahra Karimi, by far and away, is the new face of the I.R.I. Her gold medal victory puts the Islamic Republic in the news in favorable light. Both Ayat'Allah Syed Ali Khamenei and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the leaders of Iranian must be proud at this moment.

Congratulations To Miss Karimi for her achievement. I like to see her in the next batman movie as the batwoman. She won't even need to change her outfit, just put on a mask which will comply more with the islamic dress code. LOL!

For Ebi

No! I won't take "patriarchal 101 literature." That symbolic phrase you used, is a sexist phrase. You need to begin questionning your patriarchal and chauvinistic literature 101. Capich?

Where is Farhad Kashani ?

by Shining Head on

He was complaining that Iran is a backward place (typical Zio-Nazi view) BECAUSE its olympic team did not win ANY medals. Where is he now? May be he is in Tel Aviv busy stealing palestinian children's medicine brought by the boats to Gaza!!!

For Ebi: "a real man"?????

by A.nonymous (not verified) on

Ebi, don't you think you insult a woman when you call her a "man"? ShirZan is a brave and strong woman, not a woman who is really a man! ShirFahm shodi??? :-)

Congratulations to these Wushu winners, but this is not an official sport at the Olympics. Iran only won 1 gold (Taekwondo) and 1 bronze (Freestyle Wrestling) in all.

That's fantastic! What the hell is Wushu anyway? It wasn't explained on Wiki. I love that our women can kick ass even with a cumbersome hijab under a helmet.

Wushu is not an olympic sport

by Foaad Khosmood on

usually a number of non-olympic sports are also held at the same time. Some of these sports later become Olymplic sports. This one hasn't yet become one. although it seems real close.
