A great tribute to a much loved poet

by ramintork on

It is still early morning. I am sitting in an office. Alone. Glared by the florecent lights and with a dry throat I try to join the land of the living by taking my elixir cup of coffee. Then the words of Sohrab wake me like a spong soaked in humanity washing my dead face. He calls me from oblivion and reminds me that I must live in every moment and taste the seconds left.

Thank you for your posting.

Position: Sohrab ...Mastery of Metaphore

Repositioning

It is not just about being dead
And being buried
But about
Layers
Upon
Layers of
Graves in stratum
Sitting
On the top of each other
In fierce competition amongst themselves
To influence
The world of living
With their horror beams of resurrection
For repositioning

Does anyone have any links to his paintings? Also, why he did not marry? Was he involved with any individual in a romantic way?

Good job, and thanks to "shakibazadi".

For some reason , I thought he died sooner than 1980. That makes him only 51 when he died.  Does anyone who what he died of?

Monday

by hamidbak on

10 minutes of my Monday could not have been better spent. For a short moment words of Sohrab took me on a journey I didn't want to return from.

He was one of the greatest in Persian poetry.
