Dear Azarin

Dear Azarin:

How serendipitous!  You know, I search for Iranians all over YouTube, and when I find a good one, the joy gives me so much energy.  When I found this young man yesterday, I found myself sitting here, watching him play all the different pieces of this performance for a long time, enjoying his exuberance and talent.  I am glad JJ accepted the recommendation and featured him.  Soheil Nasseri made me proud even before knowing that he is kin to one of my favorite writers on the site!  Love of arts must be a genetic characteristic of your family.  Of course, I know too well that genes alone cannot produce such artistic mastery.  Discipline and a very well-supported environment are keys to Soheil's success.  Your sister and her family should be congratulated on helping a star be born.  Your nephew is a source of pride to many outside your family now.

He's my nephew!

by Azarin Sadegh on

Dear Party girl,

You have no idea how surprised I was by this post! Soheil is my nephew (my sister’s older son) and I was trying to find a way to send the videos from his Berlin concert and also his full interview with Voice of America in Farsi to JJ, so it could be featured on Iranian.com...and then I saw your post!

Thank you so much for posting his video!

Beside being an amazing pianist and a very charming young man, Soheil is one of the most sincere, passionate and charismatic people I have ever seen and he really deserves to be recognized by the community of Iranians in Iran and elsewhere.

Soheil started to play the piano when he was only 4 years old and since then he hasn't stopped surprising us with his deep love for the music and his hard work to make it more popular for the younger generation. A few years ago he volunteered to play at public schools in New York city (at Harlem) to expose those kids to the classical music and he was even recognized by the city of New York and was featured on local TV news and newspapers. But in the recent years he has been mostly working in Europe and has been very successful outside of US.

Thanks again,

Azarin

DAMN !!

by Majid on

His fingers dance so easily on the keys that.........I feel ..heck, I can do that!

But a second thought....I better not! I better watch, enjoy and admire this young talent.

That's what I call a "BALLETT OF FINGERS ON THE KEYS"

Nicely executed, young man.
