here is the disturbing part

by MRX1 (not verified) on

Over the past thirty years, the regime in Iran had a profit of nearly half trillion dollars, with the price of oil going up and so on. Entire western Europe was rebuilt with same amount of money after world war II and yet the country with an exception of handfull of cities (tehran, isfahan, shiraz and may be few others) looks as third wordish as ever! one wonders where all the money goes. when you figure that out let me know..............

The photography is great, but ...

The Italian photographer's work is fabulous. It is a shame that anytime there are beautiful pictures of Iran, it is merely the landscape without the people. Some how when you add the people into the pictures, the pictures resemble a third world country.

We need to stop fooling ourselves in thinking Iran is so beautiful and everything is dandy and focus on resolving Iran's economic, social and political problems. We have a race against time and the gap between the modern countries and the ancient ones is getting bigger everyday. This type of daydreaming and drifting away only adds to the problem because it is a "masmali".
