Gabgoo

Fusion music in Iran

Gabgoo is a fusion music band comprised of Iranian and international musicians all living in Tehran. In this clip they play a piece called Persian Gulf first in a recording studio and later on stage (there is a bit of a modern jonoobi dance in it, too). A little different from others. Band leader's name is Henrik, a Swedish man married to an Iranian woman. About Gabgoo: Gabgoo means crab in Bushehri language (local language from South of Iran). A Greek proverb says: "You cannot teach a crab to walk straight." Gabgoo. Hasn't chosen the direct path. Once you choose to walk in a different path you have to be creative and Gabgoo's creativity rocks!

irnaina new wave music

by Saeed Shoja Nia (not verified) on

This is fantastic! It should be on every newwave FM radio station. They should get together with Sahin & Sepehr.
