hm.... interesting

Your valinemats in Iran look so aweful that the only way left for you is to smear others and make them look as bad.

And then in the same paragraph(!!!), this:

many of the commentators in this site (mostly bacheh akhoonds, previously bacheh geda)

I think somebody has serious "oghdeh" issues. Desperate and angrily lashing out against anonymous poor people. I don't think the bigotry gets any clearer than this.

Jamshid Jan, you should understand that getting IRI paychecks via "ATM" is too tracable. It's all Western Union now. On occasion payments have been made via gold boulion FedEx-ed directly to the residence! You need to update your research.

30K

by jamshid on

Of the 55,000 students studying in the US in the late 70s, 30,000 of them had some type of scholarship provided to them by the government or by various Pahlavi foundations (although it was not "chic" for them to admit to receiving money from the "Pahlavi" governement, but they recieved it anyway).

A large percentage of the remaining 25,000 also enjoyed other types of financial assistance and grants.

In one of my visits to Iran, I had the unfortunate experience of visiting one of the offices of the education ministry. The talkative beardy guy who was running that office (nice fellow by obviously hezbollahi), proudly told me how the new revolutionary government cancelled most of those bourse tahsili, or in some cases even made the receipients to either return all the money or promise in writing to stay and work in Iran. Of course, I didn't need him to learn about this, I already knew.

He was proud that the education ministry still have the list of those receipients and how much grants and bourses they received from the Pahalvi regime. I wish they would publish it and make it public to shame them.

The Pahalvis owe Iran nothing. But many of the commentators in this site (mostly bacheh akhoonds, previously bacheh geda) still owe something to Iran. Your valinemats in Iran look so aweful that the only way left for you is to smear others and make them look as bad.

Won't work.

For now, times are good and so keep using your ATM machine, aka IRI, while you can, and make everyone else look like the thieves that you are in order to dilute your own thievery.

My take

by Ali P. on

I guess if you ever GIVE to a charity, you can inquire into who RECEIVED any help. Bear in mind, the foundation has a responsibilty to the recepient, not to embarrass him by flaunting his name everywhere.

In all fairness, I never received any help from any of these charities, even when I could be the posterchild of "needy", nor did I ever- not so proud to admit- give to any of them.

So I reserve judgment on them.

Unreal

It's amazing how stupid some of you people can be and still be a functioning human being.

What on earth makes you believe that you are automatically entitled to earn a scholarship simply because you applied?

You need to learn the difference between what are rights and what are privileges.

Cyrus Scholarship

by annonymous (not verified) on

I recall back in 1975 Shah's infamous sister, Ashraf, created a so called educational foundation to financially assist Iranian Students studying abroad. My friend Masoud whose parents both had passed away and was studying at Durham University in U.K. was an "A" student and truly in need of financial assistance. Turns out after making an application and conveying all necessary information, he never did receive a response. I guess just another joke/ show put on Iranians by the Pahlavis. Someopne ought to tell these imbeciles why bother with these sham tactics! Just go live the rest of your filthy lives with all those ill gotten monies.
