I truly enjoyed this video, PG. The landscape and the background music by the Mastan ensemble complement each other perfectly. It brought back indescribable and numbing memories of my childhood and teenage years in Iran.

Thank you for your kind and positive feedback.  All the credit for how you feel should go to the young man who went to Eshghiz and made this video.  I love Iran and Iranians and I look for them, finding them and delivering them to JJ.  He decides what gets published.  I am honored to have a chance to contribute to Iranian.com where I meet so many other, (mostly) loving Iranians.  Sorry, there are no rewards for watching my recommendations; however, if you keep encouraging me, I'll keep on trying harder, that's all!

At the end of the day, aren't we all attached to and homesick for a land which is loved by many others inside and outside of it?  That love connects all of us whether we admit it or not.  Thank you for admitting it.

I liked it except the "Shekar e Kabk" part. I think its cruel...plus i couldn't hear well what the old man says b/c of the loud music...

I loved the old man’s point of view. Also the last poem was really great. It is so sad that we do not appreciate all the good nature people in Iran till we come to a foreign country then we start appreciating them. (Of course I remember snake AKHONDS too) It took me 24 years to really listen to the wisdom of old poems and understand them (a little)!! Unfortunately grass is always greener on the other side.
