Good luck on doing the Bike

by Assicurazioni on line (not verified) on

Good luck on doing the Bike to Work thing! I've been happily Bussing to work for over a year now, and it's much nicer than driving all the way up to Boulder.

Abarmard

Just horrible

by Abarmard on

nothing funny about this. This might be a good clip for the arguments that I normally make. The system become irrelevant once the society does not understand civility.

This same mentality allows women to have Hejab, harsh ruled not be challenged, and corruption to exist without question. They are all related.

This kind of mentality in our society will not do better with any other system that is secular or non, similar to Shah or today. We need to fix this.

Khatami, regardless if you like him or not, made a valid case that civility and obedience to law is the first step toward a better, lawful and modern society. Without that it is IMPOSSIBLE to reach a society that values Rights of its citizens. You see in the clip how he takes the Rights of others for his own utility. Mentality must change. That's the job of the society to reach that cultural level.

And ALi P. You are right.

We sacrifice a lot just to be funny, to what end!
so long as the act or comment is funny, there is no consideration of the consequences.

by Anonymous iranian (not verified) on

He won't be laghting anymore if he has an accident and waits for hours till they get him to a hospital while he is in pain and bleeding.Funny thing is that when an accident happens he is going to claim that it was the other person's fault.

Freedom

by Abol "Socrates" Danesh (not verified) on

Oh Wind Blow Me Away Farther...

It
Is autumn
And leaves
Separating themselves from mother tree
In "DEATH DANCE"
To fly away as far as they can
From their mother before landing
To declare their freedom
And there distance from crowd & congestion

We are all dying for freedom!

Stating facts as wee see

by Tell it like it is (not verified) on

Stating facts as wee see them is not being sentimental, Its being honest with ourselves.
It is not just about blatant disregard for others' lives and properties. Its about being selfish and ignorant and uneducated and rude.
All of these issues are very obvious from the moment you step in to the airport and throughout your stay.
You can draw up as many strict regulations and rules and policies as you want. But it will take a few generations to instill new values in people.

98% of all Iranians in Iran are idiots and I hope the bike rider dies so we have one less idiot.

That guy riding the bike, is taken right out of a 70's action movie! Haha

hahaha I laughed my ass off when they cut to the germans!!

by toofantheoncesogreat (not verified) on

I have a solution to this problem. It has nothing to do with "culture", dariush or cyrus as some over sentimental insecure people have written here, its about government policy.

For example, when you use so and so many billions on a branch of the police force to make shure a woman is wearing her hejab correctly, you lose funds for traffick police.

You lose funds for pre-school children education about how to behave in traffic.

And you have simply make stricter laws and enforce traffic more while at the same time, build large highways that can accomodate the heavy traffic Teheran has from time to time. It has grown much better than what it was before.

And comparing our streets, cars and people with Bangladesh is just.. ridicolous, go take an asprin and cool down..

by Another sad lost iranian in France (not verified) on

so where's is our great heritage ? where's all that zarthoshti stuff , all those forohar tatoos and other b.s, ect...

The great civilization is long dead. we're no better that bangladeshis. admit it.

Tehran is no better than Dakha. forget about architecture and subway system, I'm talking on a human level.

UNCIVILIZED!

by Tell it like it is (not verified) on

Dont fool yourselves fellow Iraninans! It will take fundamental cultural changes and drastic measures and several more generations before we can declare ourselves civilized. This is just the tip of the gigantic iceberg that is our uncivilized society!

bahram9821

The sad part is

by bahram9821 on

The sad part is if this guy hits you with his bike and dies, you have to pay 25 Million toman to his family. It does not make any difference if it was his fault, you still have to pay.

The problem is not this regime or that regime...

by Ali P. on

It is this mentality.

God knows how much time, resources, and lives are wasted , due to this mentality.

Dear Police-Mashti Bond

by Party Girl on

The music score on the clip is "Fucking in the bushes" by Oasis from the 2001 movie, Snatch.  Did you see that movie?  It was an instant classic.  Here's a clip of that song on YouTube.  Enjoy!
