Regarding Shams Pahlavi
by John Carpenter (not verified) on Sun Jan 06, 2008 08:03 AM PSTShams was so disallusioned by her brother Mohammad Reza that she left for Europe and converted to the Anglican religion. Shams' grand daughter became an actress on a TV show that lasted several episodes on VH1 or some other odd channel. That grand daughter lived in England for many years.

by Yaas (not verified) on Sun Dec 30, 2007 02:42 AM PSTNow that you mention it...
I really haven't heard many rumors about her, not like her sister Ashraf anyway...
Nice/nasty? Somewhere in between?
So what's the truth? What kind of a person was she?
I was born a couple of years before the Revo.
Shams
by Taraneh Safavi (not verified) on Sat Dec 29, 2007 11:27 PM PSTShams was a good woman and she kept a low profile because she also did not care about the rest of her family and in particular she did not like Farah's cunning and secret dealings with Communists and other subersive parties in France.
Shams was more like the Shah and not like the ones who married into the family and destroyed the heritage given to them by the British as a 37 year lease of the throne with options to retire.
The Islamic regime got a better deal. The British have given them 67 years of rule of which about 29 has passed, cross your fingers, your queen will be able to go back 38 years from now...
