  The picture is actually from around 1949.The shah's daughter, Shahnaz, was born around 1941.Also, the only time that I think the Shah sported a moustache was to cover  the healing wound on his upper lip after several bullets nearly missed him in an assasination attempt in 1949.

 

There in the Simorgh's radiant face they saw

Themselves, the Simorgh of the world-with awe

They gazed, and dared at last to comprehend

They were the Simorgh and the  journey's end.
