Iran enrichment 'at higher level' - IAE

UN nuclear inspectors have found traces of uranium enriched at 27% at Iran's Fordo nuclear site, a confidential report obtained by the BBC suggests.

The report by the nuclear watchdog IAEA comes a day after Iran and world powers held talks on Iran's nuclear programme.

Iran says the aim of the Fordo site is to enrich uranium for civilian use up to a maximum of 20%, and the latest readings could be accidental.

Analysts say 27% would bring Iran closer to making weapons-grade uranium.

The latest report by the International Atomic Energy Agency says Iranian officials told inspectors that the production of such particles "may happen for technical reasons beyond the operator's control".

Iran insists its nuclear work is purely peaceful, but Western countries fear it is seeking nuclear weapons, which require uranium enriched up to 90%

7% shy of weapon grade uranium

by Simorgh5555 on

Israel was right. The entire negotiations in Baghdad was just a ruse to continue to enrich uranium. Although I am not familiar with the full details of the offer proposed by the USA but it was by far the most generous that had ever been offered to the Terrorist Regime. The IR knew it was not going to concede anything or compromise its enrichment project one nit. All the while the Terrorist Regime has been enriching its uranium to full weapon grade capability. Negotiations are over. Fun and games are over. Now is the time for Regime Change. Stop pussyfooting around the nuclear issues. Stop all this 'red lines', 20% enrichment and other ludicrous excuses which are just another elaborate part of a cat and mouse game. If the USA and Europe are serious that it needs to stop the threat of the IR it needs to go to the heart of the issue itself (asle matlab in Farsi) and that is the terrorist nature of the regime occupying in Iran.

STOP THE GAMES. REGIME CHANGE NOW! NO TO TERROR. NO TO TERRORISTS. DESTROY THE IR NOW AND FOREVER/
