Who's been posting the news of workers struggle in Iran,day by day in here? (not that I think working class movement in Iran really needs the support of some apolitical middle calss Iranian abroad).

Tudeh Party and it's entire leadership and membership over the past 70 years has got it's place in Iranian people's great ongoing, struggle for democracy and social justice. Just like every other single left or right secular political groupings. Including JM. Fadaiian Khalgh, Mujahedin Khalgh, to mention a few. Their leaderships  all made mistakes, some grave enough bordering treason (Rajavi/Kianouri) But never the organisation.

The biggest treson to Iran has been committed by the followers of political Islam, the ones ruling our country now, who wish nothing better for the opposition to fight and squable between themselves, rather than focusing on the real criminals and traitors, the entire leadership of the Islamsit regime.

The difference between them is called Praxis, and in workers' movement it is a reference to how one combines ones theory with ones practice.

What was the sum total of Tabari's life: always escaping from danger (to saftery of USSR) and making up  justifications for crimes of his Russian masters' from invasions in Eastern Europe to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and worse.

What was the sum total of Poyan and Ahmadzadeh: motivating and moving an entire generation to fight for social justice and freedom in Iran. They're still respected (although we all havve our own critiques of them) and considered vanguards of their generation.

Accordign to Ostan Najaf Khan Daryabandari, Tabari after his return to Iran, after 1979, was so out of contemporary social theory and science, and arrogantly ingnorant of it, that he even didn't know who Chomsky was! Now, even a first year college student reading Linguistics or Social Theory would know that, but not the "brain," and "theoratician" of Tudeh. Go Figure!
