محله عودلاجان یکی از پنج محله قدیمی تهران در حاشیه بازار است که، از جنوب به میدان مولوی، از شمال به خیابان امیرکبیر و سرچشمه، از غرب به شمس العماره و ضلع شرقی آن به امامزاده یحیی محدود می شود، بخشی از محله عودلاجان در قدیمی ترین نقشه های تهران با عنوان محله کلیمی ها نامگذاری شده و کلیمی ها این بخش را "سرچال" می گفتند، شاید به این دلیل که برای رسیدن به یکی دیگر از محله های قدیمی تهران یعنی "چاله میدان" روندگان باید از این محل گذر می کردند و عودلاجان را بیرون از چال یا سرچال می گفتند، اما بعدها قسمت یهودی نشین عودلاجان بین اهالی یهودی و مسلمان با عنوان "محله" یا "سرچال" معرفی شد و این عنوان هنوز هم معتبر است

Dear R_G,

ghaabel nadaareh.  Not too long ago, I happened to be looking at the profiles of some traditional Persian singers and came across Dardashti.  But Artificial Intelligence's father, who no doubt is named Alan Turing, probably remembers him from Iranian radio performances.
