TEHRAN, Iran(AP) -- At least 15 people have been killed and scores more injured in two massive explosions at a Revolutionary Guard ammunition depot west of the capital Tehran, state TV reported Saturday.

Ramazan Sharif, spokesman of the Revolutionary Guard, said on television that the explosions occurred at a military base outside Bidganeh village, 25 miles (40 kilometers) southwest of Tehran.

"Fifteen people were martyred and scores of others injured. Some of those injured are in critical condition," Sharif said.

The Revolutionary Guard is Iran's most powerful military force.

Sharif said experts were investigating the cause of the blast.

IRGC is ideal candidate for running IRI's nuke program

by AMIR1973 on

With its very high standards of safety, quality assurance, competence, professionalism, and security, I cannot think of a better entity for running the IRI's nuke program than the wonderful IRGC.

My condolences to the family

My condolences to the family of the soldiers. I would regret if any sodier or civilian has to needlessly die because of the Islamic Republic. I very much hope before any military action takes place God bestows common sense and courage on those serving in the Iranian military that they start a coup and overthrow the regime before it is too late.

Those Darn Sanctions!

by Faramarz on

Once again innocent Iranians are getting hurt because of the sanctions.

Where is that NIAC petition? It is time for action.

Or could it be another used-car salesman plot hiring a Mexican drug dealer!

I haven't read the entire reports but I have to say

by Simorgh5555 on

...........................It was the Jews who did it.

This must be the work of the evil Zionists.

15 Iranian soldiers have died. Got to be the work of the Jew boys LOL

Adding to the news

"The latest blast comes at a time of heightened tensions over Iran's nuclear ambitions.", says BBC.

Sounds almost as if it were a sabotage. With news presented in such a way, no wonder people are getting hysterical and doubting everything. Including my self, of kors.
