Tony Blair calls for regime change in Iran and Syria

In an interview to mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, the former prime minister warns that the Middle East would be "very, very badly" destabilised if Iran acquired nuclear weapons.

Blair, who is the Middle East peace envoy, tells the Times: "Regime change in Tehran would immediately make me significantly more optimistic about the whole of the region. If Iran were to acquire nuclear weapons capability it would destabilise the region very, very badly.

"They continue to support groups that are engaged with terrorism and the forces of reaction. In Iraq one of the main problems has been the continued intervention of Iran and likewise in Afghanistan."

Speak for yourself. All you seem to do is throw insults at people you
disagree with or those who do not conform to your views. I do not support war
but he went with the intelligence he was given and  made decisions
according to that. If weapons of mass destruction were found in Iraq people
would hail him as a hero but because they were not he is some villain. He is as
much a casualty of war as anybody else. Hindsight is a good thing, but these
people need to go with the info they have. Now you can blame this man for all
of Iran's woes but it will not help anybody, least of all Iranians. Our enemy is IRI and its supporters, who come in many guises. We can recognise them all.

You should be grateful to the likes of Tony. He gives everyone Free Speech, just see your friends in Hyde Park. What would happen to people in Iran who consider talking about other religions in public?

BTW who accepted IRI and still supports them in Iran? British or Iranians?

Take your unwanted  present to Iranian people, the islamist regime back, whilst they are still in one piece.

and whilst at it, consider cutting back all this generous social security benefits to fat , lazy london residing supporters of islamist regime. even better, give them each a shovel and get them do some farm work and save yourself tonns of money on farm machinery fuel :)

Funny how a bunch of OGHDEIS sitting comfortably in exile are calling for a war on Iran in order to "liberate" Iran. You should all go back to smoking your opium and eating your kebab and shaking your asses to the images of the bad blonde dye-jobs on LA Exile TV.

He goes by the bible

by iamfine on

In one of his interview, he said my decision of attacking Iraq was purely based on the holy book (bible). He doesn’t give a shit about Iran or any other countries in the middle east. For him (UK) as well as Bush (USA), the key word is “domination.”

As far as Iran goes, we don’t need them. Iran will go to its equilibrium position soon

Truthseeker9

How true

by Truthseeker9 on

"Regime change in Tehran would immediately make me significantly more optimistic about the whole of the region.... open to the idea of a military attack against Iran if it comes close to acquiring nuclear missiles. But he makes clear he was not advocating a military strike .... anti-west ideology made it difficult to rebuild nations after conflicts".

People love to hate Blair but he just says it as it is.

As much as Blair is

by Simorgh5555 on

As much as Blair is responsible for the disasterous war in Iraq he is absolutely right about Iran. Iranians must be emancipated from these terrorist Islamist alien occupiers.
