Iran: US trying in vain to save Israel

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has cautioned regional countries against deceitful schemes hatched by the United States to save the Israeli regime and boost its own economy.

Israel is the “biggest danger” to regional countries. Efforts should mainly focus on setting limitations on the fake Israeli regime, said President Ahmadinejad in a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu in Tehran on Monday.

“Any measure adopted in line with objectives of the regime will mean suicide,” he added, IRNA reported.

He called on regional countries to be cautious about conspiracies by foreign powers to meddle in their domestic affairs, saying their interference would harm the entire region.

The Iranian president pointed to the recent developments in the Middle East and North Africa and added all regional nations should enjoy equal rights and security.

No power can deprive regional nations of freedom and the right to vote, Ahmadinejad stated.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran believes that all regional governments have the capability to administrate their countries through making reforms and meeting demands of their people,” the Iranian chief executive said.

He noted that Iran and Turkey play a “very sensitive and influential” role in Middle East developments and added that the two countries can adopt major measures to serve the interests of the two nations and the region's people.
