I just have one question for Mr. Motevahhem here. If he had 35 million votes, why DID he put up with the official announcement of 24 million only?!! An more importantly, if he DID have even 24 million, why didn't his Interior Ministry do a recount and announce the winner again?!! Surely, the public trust would have been restored and none of the bloodshed and the subsequent arrests and crackdown would have been necessary in that case, and the Islamic Republic of Iran would have ruled more peacefully and longer.
I have to go back and read Pinocchio to see if Pinocchio believed his own lies, too. I seem to remember that even the man-made wooden Pinocchio knew when he was lying and that he shouldn't be doing it.
I wonder if Ali Khamenei thinks today that the price the Islamic Republic of Iran has been paying for the election fraud to put Mahmoud in office has been worth it. None of that makes much difference to Iranians, who should be congratulating themselves for having turned out to vote and finished any residue of legitimacy left for the Islamic Republic of Iran.
