Iranian girl attacked in UK over hijab

An Iranian Muslim girl has reportedly come under attack in Britain after refusing to remove her hijab amid a new wave of Islamophobia in Western countries.

The incident occurred on Wednesday when London resident Zahra Kazemi Saleh was attacked by four young British women as she was going home from school, Tabnak reported on Thursday.

The Iranian member of the Islamic Student Association was attacked in broad daylight by the girls who did not like Zahra's refusal to take off her hijab.

Zahra sustained facial injuries in the encounter, which is not the first act of violence against a Muslim in Europe.

London's Muslim Student Council condemned the attack, and blamed the British government for supporting the spread of Islamophobic opinions in the country.

Iranian girl attacked in UK over hijab

by Simorgh5555 on

I have no sympathy whatsoever as much as I do not like to see women being hit. Any Iranian girl who wilfully wears a hijab as seen in this picure must be a daughter of a Hezbollahi diplomat or embassy worker living in London. It is time that these scum bags get a taste of their own medicine when they use violence against ordinary Iranian women who do not want to wear a hijab in Iran. What goes round comes around:

On behalf of all Iranian women hounded, harassed, arrested, beaten and raped by the Gashde Ershad and Basiji scum I say:

Kotak Bokorid va Hal Konid. Haghetune!

If anything the father

by Simorgh5555 on

If anything the father should be arrested for child abuse by having her wear this humiliating ugly rag on her head. The parents irresponsible action has led this child to.stand out and be bullied. Not only is.she being deprived of a normal.childhood but she runs the risk of.growing up to become a Fati Commando.

Sosan. As I said Muslims

by Simorgh5555 on

Sosan. As I said Muslims such as this girl's father who embraces the Islamic Republic system where women just as young as the one who appaers in this picture are beaten, raped and.murdered are merely receing their comeuppance albeit through their children. I would have preferred that he parents were hit instead of her but I feel total satisction in end result and sends an unequivocal message to all Islamic Republic thugs that they will not be safe anywhere in the world. Today the hijab. Tomorrow targer assassinations of IR criminalals. As for hate YOU Soosan Khanom are the biggest self hater. Any Iranian who insults the memory of Reza Shah fogets that this great man singularly unified Iran and stoppped.it from disintigration.Never forget that please. If only his son also force women not to wear that ugly rag en we would not be in the mess we are. I hope to see more.instance like this in the future.

Some replies here

Some replies here including Simorg's reply are beyond belief .......

Simorg you are filled with hate and revenge.

this is just an school age kid ......  a kid ....... Do you not get it?

Hejab is not banned in England and not even in France in general  ( with the exception of the public schools ) and no where else in the world...... may be only at the time of the moron Reza Shah ....... because Iranian are extreme one way or another and now they are beating the hell out of women to wear it in IRI ........

There are some discriminations against a few who have guts to wear it ...... and mostly it is done by uneducated ignorant people or in the case of her by a few bullies at her school ......

Fortunately the majority of people in the west are educated and much more tolerant.

I have mixed feelings on this news item simorgh.

by Roozbeh_Gilani on

On one hand, I can not defend the loutish behaviour of English woman towards another woman because of her Hijab. On the other hand having personal knowledge of Iranian community in Britain (lived and studied there about 7 years), I know who the "hijab wearing Iranian women" in england are! There I agree with you when you say "haghetune"!

Thanks.
