Violence which followed a day of anti-spending cuts protests in London has been condemned by union leaders.

Hours after more than 250,000 people took part in a peaceful march to Hyde Park, there were clashes between police and protesters in Trafalgar Square.

TUC general secretary Brendan Barber said the activities of a few hundred people should not detract from the main message of the official protest.

Maybe these protests are the side effects of the Islamic revolution of '79 in Iran!

Alas David Cameron is definitively No De Gaulle Either ...

by Darius Kadivar on

What is certain however is Britain may well go through what France or even Germany went through in May 68 ... But Not sure Cameron is as insightful or as charismatic as De Gaulle to pull it off on the long term. And even despite the just and to date currently successful Coalition Liberation War in Libya, Cameron is definitively No Churchill ...

So unlike Sarkozy in France he may not be able rehabilitate his public image in future elections by boasting about his governments success in the International arena.

hey should send these hooligans on a one way ticket to Japan or Libya ... Maybe they will learn to appreciate their own far from perfect society and offer a more constructive approach in dealing with the the ills inflicting their own nation than recourse to blind violence ...
