TUNISIA: NO CONFIRMATION OF RUMOURS THAT BEN ALI IS DEAD

(AGI) Paris - Ex president of Tunisia, Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali, is rumoured to have died in hospital in Jeddah. Negotiations are said to be under way for his return home for burial. A number of unconfirmed sources have reported his death on the internet. Ben Ali fled abroad on 14 January after a popular revolt brought an end to his 23 years in power. He has been in a coma for two days.
