5 سال قبل در روز 23 بهمن 1384 خورشیدی دریادار دکتر احمد مدنی پس از یک بیماری نسبتاً طولانی چشم از جهان فروبست.دکترمدنی مبارز خستگی ناپذير آزادی, از رهبران شهیر جبهه ملی ایران بود که چون پیشوایش مصدق, مغضوب دو نظام شاه و شیخ بود و هست چون اندیشه ملی داشت و هیچگاه بر سر منافع و مصالح ملی سازش نکرد . او در تمام دوران زندگی خود برای آزادی ، استقلال و عدالت اجتماعی در ایران تلاش کرد و رنج زندان ، تبعید و آوارگی را به جان خرید

supported the revolution.  He is not a hero.  Had he not fought against the Shah, his regime, and help bring the country into the low levels it has sunk into, there would have been no need to save Khozestan.  These people are not heroes.  Timsar Farbod, himself a relative of mine, will not and should not be considered heroes.  You are reponsible for what happened to Iran and history will record it as such.
