Within a few minutes, Chriqui said deputies had swarmed their quiet neighborhood. Several patrol cars and two ambulances descended on the street as a sheriff's helicopter flew overhead.

Chriqui, who has lived in the neighborhood for about 10 years, said he was shocked.
