3 victims in West Hollywood shooting are identified

Authorities have identified three men who were shot and killed in a West Hollywood apartment Thursday night, but said there have been no arrests in the case and few clues as to what prompted the killings.

The victims were identified as Pirooz Moussazadeh, 27; his brother, Shahriar Moussazadeh, 38; and Bernard Khalili, 27, said Craig Harvey, chief of investigations for the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies responded to the apartment building in the 600 block of Kings Road about 9:15 p.m., shortly after neighbors reported hearing a series of gunshots. Inside the apartment, deputies found three men dead of gunshot wounds.
There was no sign of forced entry or a struggle, deputies said.

“We believe they are of Middle Eastern descent," said Lt. Pat Nelson. "Basically, this is a triple murder. We don't have any suspects at this time."
Maurice Chriqui, who lives next door, said he had just arrived home from a business trip to Seattle to find his wife upset.

"Thank God you're home," she told him. "I just heard some shots."
Within a few minutes, Chriqui said deputies had swarmed their quiet neighborhood. Several patrol cars and two ambulances descended on the street as a sheriff's helicopter flew overhead.

Chriqui, who has lived in the neighborhood for about 10 years, said he was shocked.
