TEL AVIV — For the first time, Israel has indicated its inability to destroy Iran's nuclear weapons program. ShareThis

Officials said senior members of the government and military have quietly expressed concern over Israel's ability to strike Iran without direct help from the United States. They said some of the ministers and commanders were advising that Israel prepare to live with a nuclear Iran.

"We are taking upon ourselves a task that is bigger than us," former Israeli Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Dan Halutz said.

In a television interview on Feb. 13, Halutz reflected what was termed a growing realization within the government and military that Israel could not destroy Iran's nuclear weapons program. Veiled Prophet of Khorasan

No kidding

I have already stated this on a number of blogs. There is no way Israel or anyone else is going to hit Iran without US permission. The US will get blamed anyway so they might as well be involved. No nation has the ability or the geographical assets to do this other than the US.

Any attack on Iran will result in heavy retaliation from the IRI. The only real way to neutralize the retaliation is through us of American military. I won't go into details since I already did in other posts. Besides anyone with one iota of knowledge knows this is obvious.

This is not a matter of ideology or who we support. It is a fact. Will US agree to an attack on Iran?

The only sure way to know is to wait and find out.

VPK.
