در صورت تداوم اعتراض‌ها و تظاهرات عمومی، حکومت می‌تواند برای حفظ کامل انحصار خود، حتی به قطع کامل شبکه‌های اطلاعاتی و ارتباطاتی دست زند.حکومت با کندکردن سرعت اينترنت، ارسال پارازیت بر روی شبکه‌های ماهواره‌ای، متوقف کردن سیستم ارسال پیامک و حتی قطع کردن تلفن‌های همراه می‌تواند سيستم انحصاری صدا و سيما را به عنوان حقيقت جايگزين به افکار عمومی تحميل کند. اين حقيقت جايگزين طرفداران رژيم را به اين باور رسانده است که هيچ گونه تقلبی در انتخابات اخير رخ نداده، مردم در کشوری با آزادی بيان زندگی می‌کنند، اقتصاد کشور به خوبی اداره می‌شود و آن چند صد نفر معترضی که پس از انتخابات به خيابان‌ها ريخته‌اند و دست به اعمال خرابکارانه زده‌اند از شيطان بزرگ دستور گرفته‌اند. تا زمانی که اين نظام انحصاری ادامه دارد شمار چشمگیری از مردم اين حقيقت جايگزين را باور خواهند کرد. در نتيجه بر خلاف داستان هانس کریستین آندرسون، امپراطور ل... >>>

Sure, the government has (to some limited extent) the capability to reduce te flow of information, although technolgoy is available to send information outside of the government controlled routers.  But the bottom line is, if the government closes down these information highways, it also is punishing itself.  Commerce, flow of goods, money, people, aviation, etc. etc, all depend on the availability of the electonic highway.  In the short run it will prohibit people from getting information, but in the long run the much ailing economy will sufer and this is the best weapon to turn the masses against this regime.

During the elections and right after, Seda o Sima was busy doing what it was doing for the past 30 years, brainwashing and broadcasting B.S. 

So how did people know to come to the streets the day after the fradulent elections results were announced?  And the next day?  And Qods Day?  And 13 Aban?  And Ashura?  And now 22 Bahman?

I think the author is naive to think that IRI can return to a state of normalcy by continuing its tired old lies on IRIB. 

However they are doing it, news from tweets and blogs is making it out and people are showing signs that they are getting the information initiated on the internet.
