Pro-government rally at the Enqelab (Revolution) Square in Tehran last
week. Image Credit: AP The world's preoccupation with anything that
carries an Iranian label on it is evident. All it takes is a quick
glance at headlines in newspapers and it will soon become apparent that
news related to Iran is of major interest, not only to Western media,
but in the Arab world too. Whether it be a new missile test causing
anxiety, a provocative statement from Iranian President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad, speculation about an "imminent" Israeli attack on Iran's
nuclear sites, Iranian defiance of the International Atomic Energy
Agency, or speculations of a power struggle between two groups
Westerners see as hardliners and moderate, news from Iran always makes
headlines.

Amongst the abundant coverage, there are numerous exaggerated
accounts and misinformation. A former member of the US Department of
State staff, a fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Study
who also taught a summer graduate course at George Washington
University, told our class that, according to ‘confirmed and reliable
sources', Ahmadinejad made major policy decisions by opening the Quran
and randomly selecting a page and then a sentence. He would then take
inspiration from one word of the chosen sentence ... >>>

I must have hit the right nerve.  Where have you been Gholi boy?  We missed you son!  BTW, the "bolding" of the comment before the response, the demand to respond to the article and the "Shaban Bimokh" reference are dead give aways Gholam.  You may want to change your habits, and your favorite catch phrases if you want people to think that you're someone else.   Love to see you back though.  The site can always use a village idiot.

BTW, how do you know about my "passed" (I assume you meant to say past) personality shortcomings?  I thought you were a new user.

:-))

Whoever he was

If I were to guess, I would say
"iranmilitaryforum.net".  He is spamming the site at the same rate,
with the same trash and with "news" from the same obscure sources as
that "Gholam" creature.

Fess up buddy and come clean.  We don't mind.

Whoever he was, I would love to meet him.  But don't get hung up on him. Try to respond to the posts intelligently. You might score some better points than exposing your current and passed personality shortcomings.

But nice meeting you! Are you considering yourself to be the official "Shaaban Be-Mokh" for Iranian.com? Please tell us, we don't mind!

I like!

I respect the lives of the eight dead and feel with the hundreds detained, but in the same period a number of human-rights violations, threats of prosecution and undemocratic and suppressive practices were made by the government and did not receive the same attention. This was most likely because highlighting such stories would not advance the political agenda.

This sentence alone should make everything clear as to how to apply democracy in a country... imagine they did this in New York? They would slaughter them one by one and put them in jails.... this is the western democracy! u would see 80 dead and 800,000 thousand in jail!

However, they did not treat the reasons that led to this condition. I believe that the conditions in the Palestinian territories are alway capable of explosion because the same circumstances are there.
