Iran: The military will stand with the Iranian People

In the days when, alongside our Revolutionary Guards brothers, we were giving our lives for this nation, we never imagined that a day would come when a group of Guardsmen, contrary to the wishes of the vast majority of the true and devoted personnel of the Revolutionary Guards, would use the might of their weapons against this nation....

The military considers itself the refuge of the nation and has never submitted to the demands of politicians to oppress the people. It has remained faithful to its vow to not interfere in politics, but it cannot remain silent while its countrymen are persecuted and violated. For this reason, to those individuals who have been imposed on the Revolutionary Guards and who are engaged in aggression and tyranny....will be faced with the reaction of the military’s selfless men. The military is the refuge of the people, and it will defend, to its last drop of blood, the peaceful people of Iran against any aggressor.

Iran's Army warns IRCG

by FG on

Suposedly there were as many as eight regiments involved.  Whether or not the warning is bogus remains to be seen.

Whatever the case, it is unlikely that the regime and its puppet generals can count on military age men in the regular army to carry out its dirty deeds or stand by and allow them.  I suspect quite a few rank and file IRCG and Basilj are becoming disenchated--a process likely to increase with overuse and as the economy moves closer to collapse.  Again, remember what happened to Ceaucescu and wife in Rumania.  There too was a man who turned on his own people and relied on security forces to keep him in power no matter how unpopular he became.  Khamenei deserves exactly the same fate and nothing less.

Thank you FG

If this proves true, it is a very significant step in our struggle.

The Iranian military (artesh) has always stood for and defended the Iranian people, and now, after 30 years of mullahs political officers and purges and tight control of the military, it is clear that such a patriotic force cannot be forced to change its loyalty.

Thank you officers and personnel of the Iranian Army, Air Force, and Navy, for once again standing with our oppressed people. Thank you for being at our side and defending us with honor once again.

Khamenei should consider himself lucky if he suffers the fate of Ceaucescu. That would be too lenient an ending for him.
