If Israel Bombs Iran

First, regardless of perceptions of U.S. complicity in the attack, the United States would probably become embroiled militarily in any Iranian retaliation against Israel or other countries in the region. Given uncertainties about the future of Iraq and a deepening commitment to Afghanistan, hostilities with Iran would stretch U.S. military capabilities at a particularly difficult time while potentially derailing domestic priorities.

Second, an Israeli strike would cause oil prices to spike and heighten concerns that energy supplies through the Persian Gulf may become disrupted.

No Fear

Dear Shah Ghollam ...

I agree with most of what you are saying. However,  I see sanctions after sanctions if the parliamant and the opposition ( lead by rafsanjani ) keep preventing Ahmadinejad's administration from making a nuclear deal. Ahmadinejad fired back at them by showing even a more radical no compromise gesture toward the west.

The deal was DONE in my opinion, we would continue to enrich but let them have this first batch for enriching to 20 percent. It was a perfect deal since enrichment was NO LONGER a problem. We could have later argued that we are now capable of enriching to 20 percent therefore, their help is no longer needed. I think what our parliament did , with the guidance of Larijani and Rafsanjani was to weaken the administration of Ahmadinejad. What do you think?

Or are we really after the bomb? Thats a possibility now. Or are we bluffing to scare the 5+1 off to make them more reasonable?

If things continue the way it is, I think we will end up with a crappy deal when Ahmadinejad term is over and the next government ( probabely reformist, since people will be sick of the sanctions and blame it on Ahmadinejad ) decides to give in to the international pressure. Reformist are so weak in this area. What do you think?

Good for you! I never really asked for your opinion, I didnt get offended either, did you maybe?

As for Iran thats really ur choice, As for Palestine/Israel, since you dont really care much I think you should also stay out of any conv. regarding this matter, So basically if you have nothing nice to say then dont say anything at all!

However, they did not treat the reasons that led to this condition. I believe that the conditions in the Palestinian territories are alway capable of explosion because the same circumstances are there.

I am sorry that you got offended. No offense was meant but I can assure you that very few Iranians care a least bit about Palestinian issue and more about the murderous IRI regime. If this thing really bothers you, please tune to some Arabic news agency and they can feed you as much nonsense as you want. The other option is that you take the hand Ghollam and immigrate to Gaza. Go and fight with Israel and more power to you. Not a single intelligent Iranian sacrifice their country for a bunch of nut heads in Israel and/or Palestine. They both deserve each other and more power to them.

You guys have to tell it like it is

by Shah Ghollam on

I asked Shah Gholam once why he did not go to Palestine and fight along Hamas and his answer was "I'm needed here". Apparently the defender of oppressed does not want to leave his comfortable armchair because he is needed in bad old stinky US of A :o)))))

California has a very nice weather, I've heard.

You left out the most important part of my reply, "Why"! I told you that the fight for Palestine is right here in the US. Once the Americans understand they are taken as cows by the Israelis, Israel will vanish w/o a shot fired !

Let's see what you can do. From what I gather you will end up hiding under your bed.

A blind man can't see much I am afraid, no matter what you put in front of him.

@No fear,

The West knows very well the best they can achieve is sanctions. But unlike sanctions against N. Korea and Saddam, sanctions against Iran will hardley be effective except to get Iranians pissed off at them leading up more support for Ahmadinejad. Iran, as oppose to, North Korea and Iraq, is bordered to too many countries in perhaps the most volatile region of the world. Policing Iran will be expensive, dangerous and inefective in the end.

There will be no choice left but to negotiate with Iran. That means Israeli loss. The sooner the West understands this the cheaper this challenge will be. Otherwise, there will be a quagmire like nothing before, a loose loose situation. Now the West and israel can dance their hollywood style as they have since WWII but that is for the birds and no longer applicable in Iran today! having that said, some people, like a few here, will be mesmorized by these shows nevertheless but not enough to make any dents.

I think Israel will be

by StoneHenge on

I think Israel will be affected first.... and maybe u never know the wave will reach ur house and kill u... u never know... it could be the end of the world.... and u say Hamas is radical... look at u and ur posts... like a kid talking on the other end. A kid who made up his mind because mommy told him so! Grow up!

 ok... and if the opposite

by StoneHenge on

ok... and if the opposite happens, are you STILL going to hide under the rock that you crawled out of? See I also care less for your talk about millions of lives as if its nothing and always thinking that a few words like the one you said doesn't hurt any Iranian!!! Well news flash! Do you want Iran to be another Iraq????? because if something like that happens it will affect the whole region not just Iran! Why would you even want to have this conversation God forbid something like this happens? You are speaking of children women men! I guess your motives comes into question with your selfishness.... if you want to be more European then go to Europe!

However, they did not treat the reasons that led to this condition. I believe that the conditions in the Palestinian territories are alway capable of explosion because the same circumstances are there.

StoneHedge,

Let's concentrate the situation at hand and that is Iran. I can care less for Hizbollah and Hamas. What I am saying here if a war breaks out with US folks in Iran will take the oppotunity and end this travesty called IRI once and for all. People are tired of thirty years of one war or another. Ghollam and his type will find a hole and run away once the bullets start flying. That is just the type of people they are.

The fighters are piling up their and they don't need Shah, me or another person just for ur own info! There are thousands if not more fighters willing to give their life to Hamas and Hizbollah.... the thing is Hamas and Hizbollah are full they don't need no ones help! This is fact alot of people called to go fight for them and they were refused!  Although if you look at it from the other way around, alot of US soldiers are committing suicide wanting to quite, lets not mention what our brave Nidal did in The American base lately, And Israel is getting down sized with its soldiers feeling guilt and wanting to leave regarding operation cast lead! Soooo ..... if anyone is in need of fighters it would be the other way around, Americans and Israeli's im sure they will find a nice place for you and your friends to burrow in! There is plenty of room! So stop accusing people of being keyboard hero's when you are in fact nothing but a hypocrite!

No Fear

Dear Shah Ghollam...

I believe the same way and I am confident that Iran is capable of inflicting serious harms to US and Israel interests not only in Middle east, but throughout the world if ever attacked by one or both.

Israel and US know this very well, after all, whats stopping them in the first place? .... They attacked every other nation at will, why stop at Iran?

But no, why risk world war III. Why risk humiliation in a war which can not be won and can not produce hard results. Why risk thousands of body bags on the way home. why jeopardize our troops in Afghanistan and iraq, and so many more. They seem to know the answer, but some of our so called ham mihans still don't get it.

The biggest loser will be you and your IRI friends. Just wait for it to happen and Iranian will rip this lousy imcompetent government apart.

I am right here waiting having 200% confidence in Iranians to protect Iran from its enemies regardless of what internal problems and regardless of "fake" Iranians sitting in their comfortable armchairs outside of Iran and hoping "someone else" to do their bit! Traitors cloaked in patriotic clothing!
